1 Mission & Service AT A GLANCE 2017 Melissa Chamberlain Mission & Service supports music, healing, and so much more, such as this Saint Columba House program. God is creative and self-giving, generously moving in all the near and distant corners of the universe. Nothing exists that does not find its source in God. Our first response to God s providence is gratitude. We sing thanksgiving. (excerpt, A Song of Faith) YOU ARE AT THE CENTRE OF THE MISSION & SERVICE STORY of hope, healing, and justice-making. Your generosity moves God s compassion into near and distant places. God s generosity is a blessing to you; your Hallelujah sung in gratitude joins the chorus. Each and every day you make a difference in someone s life through Mission & Service. The circle of people joining the story of hope, healing, and justice-making widens and moves through creation. Your generosity finds its source in God. Discover the good news of God s creativity in the world through Mission & Service. Look inside and see where Mission & Service gifts go, and the lives they change. Please make an intentional gift for Mission & Service and make it a regular part of your life of faith as well. There are many ways to give to Mission & Service: Give through your community of faith: make a pledge, use envelopes, sign up for pre-authorized remittance Mail: Mission & Service, The United Church of Canada, 3250 Bloor Street West, Suite 200, Toronto, Ont.
