7 CHURCH NOTES TODAY IS THE THIRD SUNDAY IN LENT the 40 days (excluding Sundays) of preparation for Easter. The season of Lent started on March 1 with our Ash Wednesday service. FOR THOSE OF YOU WISHING TO SUPPORT RLPC FINANCIALLY offering plates are in the rear of the sanctuary, by the doors. Please place your gifts, tithes and offerings in one of the plates either before or after the service. A prayer of dedication will be in included in the Prayers of the People. IF YOU ARE A VISITOR and wish to bless our congregation s ministry financially, please place your gift in one of the offering plates. We are very thankful for your support of RLPC s mission. SUNDAY SCHOOL PROGRAMS FOR ALL AGES with complimentary breakfast will be offered each Sunday morning of the Lenten season prior to worship (through April 16th, Easter Sunday). EASTER FLOWERS We will be ordering flowers from Gritt s Midway Greenhouse to be in the Sanctuary on Easter Sunday. The choice of flowers for this year are as follows: Hyacinths: $9.00, 6.5-inch pot / Tulips: $9.00, 6.5-inch pot/ Hydrangea: $18.00, 6-inch pot. To place your order, please complete an order form in the narthex or call the church office, by Monday, March 27th. Please send your payment to the church office or place it in the offering plate using a Pew Envelope designated as Easter Flowers. Checks should be made payable to RLPC. Be sure to state which flowers you are requesting, the number of pots and if they are in memory or in honor of someone. A list of those giving and for whom the flowers are given will be included in the Easter Sunday Bulletin. The list will also include the choice of flower you ordered. Please take your flowers home on Easter Morning. VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED FOR MEALS ON WHEELS for the 1st and/or 3rd Thursdays of each month. Only requires about 1 1/2 hours of time with pick up at Thomas Hospital at 10:45 a.m. Please consider giving of your time for this rewarding opportunity to help in the South Charleston area.
