Oni će pod vodstvom svog pastora Tini Rimoni imati program krštenja u drugom dijelu. Nakon bogoslužja u njihovoj organizaciji je i zajednički ručak u crkvenom holu na koji smo svi pozvani. Prvi dio odnosno subotnja škola je u našoj organizaciji te shodno regularnom rasporedu obavimo službe koje su nam povjerene. PROGRAMI UDRUGE HRVATSKIH ADVENTISTA Pozivamo sve pjevače i svirače crkvenog orkestra da se uključe u pripreme i vježbe za odlazak u Sydney 13. do 15. travnja/april godine gdje će se održati svečani koncert u znak sjećanja na solistu Frederika Milera. WORLD DAY OF PRAYER March 2 is World Day of Prayer, this is a great opportunity to get together in agreement with other Christians in your area and pray for the small South American nation of Suriname, this tiny country - population around 750,000 is the focus of prayer this year. With the theme All God s Creation is Very Good prayers are centred around environmental issues and sustainability, but the needs of this country are great, there is much poverty, poor educational opportunities and significant levels of family breakdown. Offerings go towards a kids club project, sharing Jesus and helping with educational supplies. UHAA congress CERTIFICATE IV COMMUNITY HEALTH PROGRAM (CHEP) TRAINING 2018 We are glad to announce that Cert 4 CHEP Training Course is back to Victorian Conference this year and Mrs. Sibilla Johnson, B.Sc will be conducting the training classes. This course is designed for church members, and others, who are interested in following and presenting a Christian whole-person ministry to their communities in a relevant, credible manner. It is an accredited Certificate IV program that will teach you everything you need to know about planning and conducting vegetarian cooking and nutrition programs for your community. 5 IT s WORTH A THOUGHT Jindabyne Some years ago I visted the micronation called Hutt River Province, which is located about 500 kilometres north of Perth. It was back in 1970 when farmer Leonard Casley, who was upset with the Australian government s wheat production quotas, declared his farm an independent nation, called himself Prince Leonard and then seceded from Australia. In the last few months we have seen via main-stream media the sights and sounds of Catalonia and the challenges faced by the Spanish government as it struggles to address the secessionist movement within their country. Previously we ve had Scotland thinking of leaving the United Kingdom and of course we ve had the United Kingdom leave the European Union (commonly known as Brexit). In just Europe alone there are around 25 secessionist or independence movements currently agitating for either total separation or greater autonomy from their country. Now with years of work and billions of dollars having been poured into the European Union one might be forgiven for thinking that a United States of Europe was a foregone conclusion. However keen students of the Bible will not be surprised at the rather fragmented nature of modern Europe and its inability to remain united. Around 2600 years ago the greatest king of Babylon - Nebuchadnezzar (son of Nabopolassar) - defeated the Assyrians in 616 BC and began to develop the city of Babylon, which was famous for its beautiful hanging gardens and the renowned Ishtar Gate. This gate was made of baked bricks that are an amazing blue in colour and adorned with lions and dragons made from yellow and brown bricks. This was excavated between and then taken and reconstructed in the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. As a young man I was fortunate to get into communist East Germany and view sections of this amazing construction that at one time was listed as one of the seven wonders of the Ancient World. Today it is a little more accessible and the ruins of Babylon are spread over 2000 acres and form the largest archaeological site in the Middle East. It is a significant reminder that God raises up kings and removes kings (Dan 2:21). Knowledgeable commentators and interpreters familiar with Daniel Chapter 2 have little difficulty in identifying the six kingdoms in Nebuchadnezzar s dream which foretold the future. While many, including Napoleon, Hitler and the European Union, have attempted to create a cohesive and unified place, the Bible clearly outlines that Europe would be a fragmented and disjointed part of the world until the return of Jesus. Once again the Bible has been shown to be no ordinary book. If you feel your world is disintegrating (and not because of wheat quotas) just remember that there is a God who knows the end from the beginning the revealer of secrets who is enthusiastic about you and your life, and you can trust in Him.
