3 Church Closed Next Week : Please note that our church will be closed next week 01 st of August, as we are having the Melbourne Regional Meeting at Gilson College. ( See page 5 for more details.). Thank you for your cooperation. See you there! Disabled Parking: Parking spaces next to the church with blue borders are reserved for persons with a disability. Please make sure you do not park in these spots unless you have a permit to do so. You will be asked to move your vehicle. Church Lunch Today : Everyone is welcome to stay for lunch after the service. Members please bring a vegetarian plate to share. A donation to cover the disposables expenses will be mostly appreciated. Prayer Requests and Thanksgiving: We ask you to remember the following people/items in your prayers: 1. We thank God for restoring Jacqueline Jaulimsing s health. 2. David Sardes' health and also for his family. 3. Hayley Lenette s health and also for her family. 4. We thank God that He is restoring Jan Brown s health. 5. Troy Alphonso s health, for Kudzie his wife and for the family. 6. Our building project and for those that are participating in the prayer vigil for our church building. 7. For the ongoing evangelistic program. Pray that everyone of us can be a missionary for Christ. Thank you: Alain and Lee would like to thank the church members for their prayers, love, messages of support, cards and flowers during this painful time. It is truly great to see the family united in our good and bad times. Praise be to God. Casey Adventurer Club: Today is our special Adventurer Service and presentation. We will have an envelope offering during the service if you would like to contribute towards our club s budget. Thank you for your generosity. Equipping Kids for the Kingdom. Please feel free to bring a friend along. For further information please contact Alain Binette or Carmen Mohanu Philippines Justice Trip 2016 Cancelled: Unfortunately due to the low number of applications received I have decided to cancel the Casey Mission Trip to the Philippines in January The team at International Children s Care are still taking individual applications for this trip so if you are still keen please see Stephane Lenette who will guide you. There are plans for further trips in 2016, so please watch this space. Thank you everyone for your interest and continued prayers to support people less fortunate than ourselves. 4
5 Men s Ministry Weekend Away: The Men s Ministry Department are organising a weekend camp at Howqua on the 14 th to the 16 th of August at Howqua. The cost is $27 per person per night + food. Book your spot as we only have a limited amount of 28. For more details, contact Barry. Casey Church Camp: Please note in your diary that our annual church camp will be held on the 31 st of October to the 2 nd of November 2015 at Howqua. Application forms and registration information will be available soon. Save the date! Bread Ministry: Bread is donated free by Brumby s, Bentleigh. But there are transportation costs to cover. If you would like to donate to this ministry please mark an envelope Bread Ministry and place it in the regular offering (red) bag. Fundraising for Church Building Fund: Claudette is making some scarves to raise money for the building fund. Jaime Jorge Fundraiser Concert for Nepal: When : Sunday, August 2 nd 2015 at 3:30 p.m. Location : Wantirna SDA Church 119 Mountain Hwy, Wantirna. No charge for entry and afternoon tea, however an offering will be collected. Funds raised at the concert go to ADRA Australia supporting the relief effort in Nepal. Jaime Jorge has dedicated his talents to sharing the love of God through sacred and classical concerts. From High School auditoriums to magnificent cathedrals, from simple church programs to Carnegie Hall, Jaime s music can inspire, uplift, and bring peace. For over two decades, through 15 albums and more than 2,500 concerts in North and South America, Europe, Australia, and Asia, Jaime s music has touched the lives of millions. Nepal Update: The two earthquakes killed more than 7,000 people. Som e 8 million people are still affected and are desperate for support. It is the worst natural and humanitarian disaster to strike Nepal since the 1934 Nepal Bihar earthquake. ADRA is on the ground, and has assisted over 29,988 people in 4,998 households across 7 districts with water and sanitation, food, shelter and health. Please support the people of Nepal.
