This is the place where the prophets cry out for peace and justice and righteousness. It is the place where God reaches down into the corners of our lives, to offer us the mystery of holy love. Are there anxieties that cause us to feel separated from the peace which Christ promises? Let us turn to God in prayer. Often we ignore the needy, show indifference to the lonely, and reject those who seem different from us. Forgive us, we pray. Empower us to reach out in love and acceptance. CGP 32

4 BLESSING OF THE PETS You are invited on Sunday, August 26 (outdoor service), to bring your pets and other creatures to church for the Blessing of the Pets service. Alternatively, you can bring pictures of your pets and we will bless all who couldn t make it. LIL TREBLEMAKERS Starting Tuesday, September 4 from 10:30 am 11 am come join us for musical fun by singing, dancing and playing instruments with Lil Treblemakers. Enjoy helping your child practice their fine motor skills and musical ability while creating fond memories. No commitment necessary. SUMMER VACATION Harold Baughman and Vicky Bechard are on vacation from August 13 through August 19 returning to work on Monday, August 20. Coverage for the office and for caretaking have been arranged. In a hungry generation, we rejoice that Jesus is the bread of life.
