Building Prayer Altars Workshop Sat, 8 Sep, 9.30am-4.30pm, Charis Hall (L4) Join us for a workshop by our Family Life Ministry themed "Building Prayer Altars Personal & Family", and find out how to live a life actively engaged in God's purposes, calling down God's presence to push back the spiritual darkness of life on earth! Guest speaker Pastor Tim Gibson will also touch on a) why you need to build your prayer altars, b) what prayer altars are about, and c) God s strategy behind them. Pastor Timothy James Gibson has been pastor of the English Service at the Church Of Singapore (Bukit Timah) since 2003, and has a degree in Theology and a Masters of Religious Education. For almost 30 years, he has been training missionaries for World Horizons in Southeast Asia, and pastoring in churches where he teaches, preaches, leads worship and sings prophetically. 3 3. Baptism & Membership (Nov 2018) If God has prompted you to obey Him in believer s baptism and/or membership of our Faith church family, now is your chance to respond to Him! A. Membership Class For Adults (Aged 16 & Above) Dates: 21 Oct, 28 Oct & 4 Nov (Sundays) Time: 2pm 5pm Eligibility: Baptized Christian and in a Faith Small Group for at least 6 months Registration: $30 for working adults, $10 for non-working adults, retirees, students and NS men. If registering for both Membership Class and Baptism, this includes registration for Baptism B. Adult Baptism (Aged 16 & Above) Eligibility: Completion of a dialogue session with a Pastoral Team Member (to be arranged separately). No class is required unless also registering for membership (please refer to "A") Registration: $30 per person (waived if also registering for Membership Class) C. Infant/Child Baptism (Below 16 Years Old) Eligibility: At least one parent is a member of Faith Methodist Church. Both parents to attend the compulsory Parents Briefing (to be arranged separately) D. Adult & Infant/Child Baptism (Immersion Or Sprinkling) And Membership Reception Service Date: Saturday, 17 November Time: 2pm 4pm REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED FOR ALL. Drivers Needed To Ferry Elderly To/From 8am Service Urgent! We praise God for opportunities to attend worship service regularly, and that He has blessed us with a growing congregation! However, we have elderly members in the community who need assistance to attend Sunday service. At this moment, we are looking for volunteer drivers to help bring two elderly folk to and from the 8am Service. One of them is an 83-year-old living in Tanglin Halt, and the other is an 86-year-old living in Mei Ling Street. Requirements: - You have a car with boot space for a wheelchair - Preferably 2 volunteers per trip - Able to commit to serving 1-2 Sundays/month - Patient and friendly disposition For more information, please contact Claire Bang at clairebang@faithmc.sg. 5. Joint Memorial Service Sat, 25 Aug, 4pm, Sanctuary (L1) All family members are invited to a Joint Memorial Service by the Garden Of Eternal Peace Columbarium in memory of loved ones who have passed on. Refreshments will be served after the service. To facilitate our catering and logistics, please register your attendance at the Info Counter. TRAC-GYM Outreach Service & Hi-Tea Sat, 8 Sep, pm, Fairfield Methodist Church L2 Sanctuary Speaker: Fee: Pastor Don Wong $6/pax for refreshments (waived for pre-believers) The TRAC Glowing Years Ministry warmly invites all seniors to their Outreach Service & Hi-Tea! Speaker Pastor Don Wong is Founder & Executive Director of New Charis Mission, Co-Founder & President of Christian halfway houses, and a Prison Chaplain. Two-way bus transport will be provided from our Faith Commonwealth premises (L1 pantry) to Fairfield Methodist Church at 1.15pm. Fairfield Methodist Church is also accessible by public transport at 1 Tanjong Pagar Road S (Tanjong Pagar MRT / Buses 80 & 145). Lift Service To Basement In Operation Praise the Lord the A&A renovation works to our Faith church building have been completed! With this, all four lifts in our church building are now operational and lift service to the basement has resumed. Thank you for your patience and understanding during the A&A period; may God continue to use our church premises mightily for His work! 3. Church Office Closed (Hari Raya Haji) Please note that the church office will be closed on Wednesday, 22 August for the Hari Raya Haji public holiday. No Indonesian Fellowship & Computer Class Today Please note that the Indonesian Independence Day Celebration (1-5pm, L4 Charis Hall) will replace the Indonesian Fellowship and computer class for today, 19 August.
