2 Thanksgiving Stones Name Verification We will be installing a mural featuring the names of those who contributed towards the Thanksgiving Stones at the Jordan Hall. If you had previously donated a Thanksgiving Stone, please visit the Contact Point and Fellowship Hall after the service to view the mock-up of the mural and ensure that your name has not been omitted. The names are listed in alphabetical order. Please note that the names of anonymous contributors will appear as anonymous in the mural. A Quiet Day with the Lord This is a one-day guided retreat for anyone who desires some time to be alone with the Lord to pause, reflect and pray. There will be guided bible meditation and quiet spaces for personal reflection. Lunch will be provided. Youth Block Blessing Outreach on 28 Aug 2016 A cluster of youths will be moving out in power and love to be a blessing to the community through their actions and friendships. The youths will reach out to 75 families around Serangoon Ave 4 on Sunday, 28 Aug. All parents and guardians of the participating youths should have received letters with more information on the outreach. The programme will end at 1.30 pm and the youths will be dismissed from PLMC s Drop-off Point. 3 SONGWRITING FOR THE HOUSE This is a 4-session course that will inspire and draw out the innate songwriter in you. Learn how to turn your inspiration into songs with lyrics based on the truth of God s Word and melodies that capture the sound of the house. KC Gan Jen Tan Creative Director / Songwriter Music Director / Producer KC has penned many worship songs such as Jen has arranged and produced several churches birthing songs that carry the message and sound of the house. his youth, Jen has a heart to see generations bridged through worship. Anthem Of Grace, God Of My Forever, Sanctuary and Because Of You. He has also written songs for TV, films and the pop music industry. As a creative director in New Creation Church, KC is passionate to see local modern worship albums and songs. As an experienced music director in New Creation Church, he has worked with worship leaders such as Darlene Zschech, Martin Smith and Bob Fitts. 4 MISSIONS 1. Teaching English in Sarawak Are you looking for a service with a difference? Kapit Methodist Primary School (Sarawak) has a need for two teams of volunteers to teach English to Primary 4 & 5 children in October The first team will be there from Oct 2-14 and the second team from Oct Estimated expenses are $900. 5 DISCIPLESHIP & NURTURE 1. Adult/Youth Baptism & Membership Class This course is for those who are considering water baptism and becoming a member of PLMC. Topics include: The Sacraments of the Church, Foundational Teachings, Vision and Mission of PLMC, and Christian Responsibilities, etc. Participants will also be prayed for to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and ministered to by the SOZO team.
