While sometimes we are tempted to just do it ourselves, in reality Jesus encourages us to invite others into our lives through faith and trust in God and with love. In today s Gospel we learn of the amazing things the apostles are able to do as they go out in pairs, trusting in the Lord to provide for their needs and for the needs of others through them. They are able to drive out demons and heal the sick, and they invite other to follow Jesus through their words and deeds. We are called to share in the mission of Christ and his Church today, yet we are not individually committed to this task. As members of the Body of Christ we work together to make Jesus present in the world. To help Catholic Charities Emerging Leaders Council is launching 100,000 Diapers in 100 Days Drive. You can help by donating diapers (sizes 2-5) and wipes and placing in the back of church. A proposal was reviewed for concrete work around the church and the steps of the rectory, pending a review on waterproofing the rectory basement. Bolster Dehart will be contacted regarding the connecting of the air conditioning in the choir loft and removal of the radiator in the vestibule so that the carpet can be replaced in the vestibule and front entrance. Contributions for any of the above work are appreciated.
