In order help support his family, he left school at age 16 began work fulltime. At age 17, he moved Birmgham found work at U.S. Steel. In 1943, he met his soul mate, Tereatha Turner at Church Greensboro, AL, where she was drawg from well. A year later, y reunited while he was visitg friends Bessemer, Alabama. The couple were united Holy Matrimony on February 25, Durg its 61years, this union was blessed four sons: Charles Edward (deceased), Perry, Anthony Loren Michael Dwayne; daughters: Yvonne.
