4 A Letter From a Grateful Wife "Truly I have been blessed more than 60 years. Yes 60 years. Our love affair began in high school and for a short season was put on pause. But thank God I was blessed to have experienced REAL TRUE LOVE for 54 years. For Elder John Lincoln Gibson Loved me and I loved him in return. So today I can say to all of you seeking a wife, Or a wife waiting to be found "wait on God" He has your Soul Mate. You are just on pause for a season. He or she is worth waiting for. 5 Obituary Elder John Lincoln Gibson was born to Sam Bo Gibson and Myrtle Gibson- Hardman May 24th 1936 in Kawana, Oklahoma. John was one of 4 children, Sam Bo Gibson Jr, Alene Tilford and Betty Terrel who have proceeded him in death. Elder John Gibson was baptized in Jesus name in 1965 in Los Angeles, California. He was a faithful member of The Triumph Church of God, under the Pastoral Leadership of Bishop Le Roy Dowd. Elder John Lincoln Gibson with his wife Dr. Lillie M. Gibson established The Trinity Evangelical Church located at 3002 W. Florence Ave. on November 11, 1980 and the church was later renamed Fruit of The Vine Ministries which became a part of The World Won For Christ Ministries. Presiding Bishop Wayne S. Davis. Elder John Lincoln Gibson traveled and ministered with his wife from South Korea to Trinidad praying and spreading The Gospel throughout the world. He graduated in 1955 from Edison High School, and he also earned an AA degree in Business Administration from Fresno, City College. Elder John Lincoln Gibson was an entrepreneur: He had 5 stores in Inglewood Imperial Shopping Center for 10 years, 2 Chiropractic offices in Los Angeles, California, An accounting office in Compton, California, a 150 Car Rental Agency; Penny Rent a Car, in Hawthorne California. He also owned and operated 3 offices for Emdeco in Compton, California and Long Beach, California. Elder John Lincoln Gibson also had Real Estate license for The State of California. Truly he was a good business Man of God. His hobbies was: Singing and Praising God! He also loved to travel. Elder John Lincoln Gibson leaves to mourn: His loving wife of 52 years Dr. Lillie Mae Gibson his High School sweetheart. His children: John Lincoln Gibson Jr., Reginald Daine Gibson (Who has proceeded him in death) Anthony Gary, 2 daughters Veeda Gibson and Valarie Gary-Taylor. Elder John L. Gibson was a wonderful father. He also helped to raise Mr. Roney Slyder, Mr. Roy Slider and their sister Luana Slider. Grandchildren and a Host of Spiritual Children and friends.
