Friday: 6:30am: Men s Bible Study Veteran s Day Assembly Invitation The public is welcome to attend a 45- minute program on Friday, November 11th, 10:00am in the Central MN Christian School Event Center (formerly known as the Cafetorium) to honor our Veterans for their service to our Country. We encourage everyone to attend. Nursery Help Needed The nursery team is seeking individuals who are willing to help as nursery floaters. The team is down to 3 floaters which is challenging, they would prefer 5 or more floaters. Job description for a nursery floater: pop in and check on the nursery regularly during the worship service to see if the nursery attendants are in need of assistance, possibly stay in the nursery if there are an abundance of children that week. If you are willing to be a floater or would like more information about it, please contact the nursery team: Taryn Buteyn or Angela Miedema. Thank you for prayerfully considering if this is an area God is calling you to help with. AREA PRAYER NEEDS AND PRAISES We as a church body are committed to praying for each other. Each month, there will be a list of prayer requests and praises from an area church which will be sent out by our area prayer coordinator, Lowell schwitters. Please use this list to lift up our neighboring churches in prayer. OCTOBER: BROOTEN CRC Prayer s of Thanksgiving Prayer of Thanksgiving: Jesse Koob is returning home from the hospital after a serious boating accident. Please pray his liver continues to heal. Prayer of Thanksgiving: for the celebration of Brooten CRC s centennial. With 6 of their former pastors present to participate in the celebration. Prayers for their Pastor/Family Please be in prayer for Pastor Dave & Claudia Zylstra as they travel to visit family in Washington. Give them a relaxing and refreshing time together. Pray for God s guidance the next 3 and 1/2 months in Brooten as Pastor Dave anticipates his retirement. Prayers for Church Family Needs Pray for a change of heart for a family who is discouraged and has not attended church for several months. Pray for comfort and strength for Stan Segaar who recently lost his wife to a long battle with cancer. Pray for Janet Raveling as she is in need of a heart transplant Prayers for the Younger Generation Pray for all the young people who are off to college and that they stay true to their faith and continue to look to God for daily guidance. Lord willing, they hoped to be back in Tanzania by this weekend. ~ We extend our love & sympathy to Sara and Tim Ahrenholz and family. Sara s mother passed away this past Thursday morning. Funeral plans were not set yet at the time of bulletin printing. Please pray for God's peace to rest on the whole family. ~ April Swierenga's mother had emergency knee surgery this week to address an infection in near the knee cap area. She is recovering at home and doctor's are hopeful for a full recovery. Pray for strength and healing for Lonnie. ~ We lift up Harris Duininck as he begins six weeks of radiation to treat the area of his leg where the cancerous tumor was removed last month. We pray that this process will go well and that his body will respond well to the treatments. ~ We thank God for the great work He has done throughout this weekend at the Unity Women's Retreat which concludes today. We pray for the power of God's Holy Spirit to refresh and renew these women as they serve Christ in all areas of their lives! ~ Congratulations to Stephen and Kaitlyn Vogel on the birth of their son, August William on October 21st. We pray God's richest blessings on your growing family! ~ We pray God's blessings on Ang Zwart as she travels to California this week for a bi-annual Pastor Spouses Retreat put on by the Christian Reformed Church. We pray for rest and refreshment and renewal on this time away. Pray Continually Prayer Partner Breakfast A Prayer Partner Breakfast will be available on Sunday, November 20, at the church's fellowship hall, starting at 8:45. Intended to be an informal opportunity for prayer partners to meet and pray, feel free to come and go as you need. Prayer partners are encouraged to contact each other to see if it works to connect that morning; however, future breakfasts are on the calendar for the 3rd Sunday of each month. Prairie Arts Chorale You are invited to join the Prairie Arts Chorale for an afternoon of Bach, both the classic and the comedic, accompanied by the piano, organ and kazoo. The chorale will be performing at Faith Lutheran Church at 4:00pm on Sunday, November 6th. Tickets are available from any Chorale member ($10) or at the door ($12). If you are unable to join them in Spicer, you are invited to join them in Granite Falls (November 5th), Wabasso (November 11th) or Marshall (November 12th). For more information visit CMCS Annual Harvest Festival The Annual Harvest Festival of Central Minnesota Christian School in Prinsburg will be held at the High School on Saturday, November 19 from 4:30 pm-8:30 pm. Start your night with a delicious ham supper or a light meal at the Snack Shack. Then there s the ever popular International Bakery. Come early, those delicious baked goods go fast! Satisfy your sweet tooth with candy from the Sweet Shoppe. Bring the kids - they will have a blast in the Kids' Carnival. Shop the Live and Silent Auctions for unique home décor, holiday items, and services. Make sure to stop by and snap a few pictures at the Photo Booth as well! All events begin at 4:30 pm, live auction starts at 6pm. Come and enjoy an evening of food, fun and fellowship for all ages!

4 UNITY FAMILY CARES & CONCERNS Thank You Rock of Life CRC would like to thank you for joining them in celebrating Reformation Sunday last week. They appreciate your generosity of the giving of your gifts. They were able to distribute to United Campus Ministry the amount of $ Rock of Life would also like to thank Bethany Reformed for the use of their facility. Soup and Dessert Supper Rock of Life CRC in Willmar invites you to a soup and dessert supper fundraiser on Thursday, November 10th from 4:30pm - 7:30pm. They will be serving a variety of soups, bread, cheese, beverages and dessert. They will be collecting a free-will offering and the proceeds are to help pay off their new building loan. Join them in celebrating their first year in the new facility, which was built to be accessible for their friendship students and all persons with disabilities. One Accord Concert Rock of Life CRC invites everyone to a concert by "One Accord," a small ensemble group of high school students from Edgerton MN. The concert will be held this Saturday, November 12, at 7:00 pm. Christmas Wreath/Greenery Sales The Haiti Literacy Program is collecting orders for Christmas wreaths and greenery. Orders are due today, November 6, to Stacy Schwitters. Orders will be delivered before Thanksgiving. Love One Another Operation Christmas Child The CMCS Jr. High and High school students will be packing shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child again this year in chapel! Would you like to contribute? Here s how you can help: Bring pre-packed shoeboxes and they will deliver them to the collection site Donate empty adult size shoe boxes Donate new or partially used rolls of wrapping paper Donate small gifts (there is a list in the church office) Donate money to help cover the $7 per box shipping fee Boxes will be packed in chapel and delivered to the local collection site on November 18th. 5 THE GENERAL FUND UPDATE & SPECIAL OFFERINGS UPDATE Stewardship Corner This is called the Stewardship Corner and is printed every week to invite you into a dynamic stewardship relationship with God. He challenges us from His Word to tithe and give and donate in such a way that reveals His provision in our lives and to steward those provisions for His glory and the building up His Church in this world. When we see positive numbers in the far-right column we are reminded our giving is in rhythm with Kingdom stewardship. When we see negative numbers, we are reminded that our giving is not in rhythm with Kingdom provision in our lives and the life of this church. Since you excel in everything-- in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you-- see that you also excel in this grace of giving. I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. And here is my judgment about what is best for you in this matter. Last year you were the first not only to give but also to have the desire to do so. Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means.
