We celebrate the Easter Season throughout the month of May. On May 1 we celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday and hear in the Gospel about Jesus appearing to the apostles after his resurrection. Jesus breathes on them and says, Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained (Jn 20:21-23). It is the Holy Spirit who convicts us of our sin, cuts us to the heart, so we become truly sorry that Jesus suffered and died for my sins and that I have not always put Jesus first in my life. Deep sorrow and repentance leads to a powerful experience of God s forgiveness and mercy. Then the Holy Spirit can fill us with a deeper love. The Holy Spirit does not only convict us of sin, but also convinces us of Jesus victory over sin, that we are more than conquerors through Jesus who has loved us, and nothing can separate us from his love. The love of God is poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit (Rom 5:5). The Spirit witnesses to our spirits that we are children of God and coheirs with Christ. We know our true identity in Christ, and walk through life with a peaceful confidence, since we have the Holy Spirit as our Advocate/Counselor. Truly enter into this Easter Season as a time to rise with Christ and surrender yourself and your life s direction to the Holy Spirit. On the Eve of Pentecost, Saturday, June 12 at 6:30 pm. at St. Rose of Lima Church (at 9883 Marbach between 410 and 1604) our new Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller will have his first Pentecost Eve Mass with all the Church movements in the archdiocese. Put this on your calendar and pass the word in your prayer groups. I (Fr. Bob) would like to see the Catholic Charismatic Renewal have a HUGE turnout to celebrate our special Feast of Pentecost. Archbishop Gustavo belonged to the Missionaries of the Holy Spirit and has a strong devotion to the Holy Spirit. We want to show him our support for his ministry in our archdiocese, and pray together with him for a powerful outpouring of the Holy Spirit for our archdiocese. I have a strong sense from the Holy Spirit that it is very important that we seek to have as many of us come together as possible at this event. We are to be united in the Upper Room in prayer with our head shepherd. Please get practical in the Spirit by getting word out to your groups and friends, and set up rides so that people can come together. This is a great event to invite someone to come with you. You can already start to get the word out. Make sure your groups participate in the 9 days of prayer between the Ascension and Pentecost. Remember that Jesus told them to wait and pray until they receive Power from on High. Let us get some serious prayer going! Let us not grieve the Holy Spirit, but respond to his call with enthusiasm and practical zeal. I hope to see all of you there.

3 Volume 12 Issue 5 Page 3 Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ: This is an exciting time for the Catholic Charismatic Community; is destined for growth and increase. At the March 8, 2011 Service Committee meeting, the Lord said, "My servants continue to draw my people into the full life that I have for them. Continue to reach out and continue on the path that I am leading you on. My beloved there is always change and challenges, but you have been given power, there is nothing you can't do when you use my Name. We praise the Lord for these words of encouragement as we begin to prepare for next year s regional conference as well as the November 2012 National Leaders Conference which will be held in San Antonio. It is a great honor and responsibility for CCCR to host the National Leaders Conference and an awesome opportunity for all the ministries of every church in the Archdiocese to come and be a part of this empowering leadership conference. At the Becoming a House of Prayer Conference held in March, we specifically prayed for an outpouring of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, but in particular we prayed for the Gift of Administration. In all projects undertaken by God, the administrative function is necessary to carryout the oversight and networking components essential to project success. Administratively gifted people have the ability to collaborate with various teams to maintain open and cooperative lines of communication. This collaboration requires a hands-on approach that is ready to jump in and do whatever needs to be done in the Name of Jesus to get the job done. As with all projects, the administration function is always in the background that involves those paperwork tasks, which allow the creative brainstorming in any effort to actually materialize. In an effort to meet the administrative and planning demands of the Center for 2012, CCCR is initiating a zone-wide recruiting effort to obtain a volunteer pool with the administrative and organization skills, knowledge, abilities, experience, and willingness to serve that is necessary to help get the job done. So, if you are interested in becoming a part of the 2012 Volunteer Administrative Team, please have your resume include your work experience. Be sure to list any projects that you have overseen and list all computer experience, including Web Page Design. The CCCR Spanish Service Committee invites you and your friends to a Christian Concert by Rene-Rene (Rene Ornelas) and Sonny Ozuna (de los Sunliners ). They will have the sounds of the 60s on up to the current time but with their Christian message. This event will take place at: Resurrection of the Lord Parish Hall 7990 West Military Dr., SATX On June 8, 2011, 7pm - 9pm Early registration will be $10 per person or $15 at the door. Tickets will be available at the CCCR effective May 3rd. We encourage Prayer Group Leaders to announce this event in your groups and communities. There is room for over 500 people. He has been vocalizing his originals since he was a toddler. He sings about anything in his imagination or off a word he hears in conversation. I think he does it without thinking about it, because it comes out so natural. We were in the kitchen and I hear him sing a couple of lines like this: I know a boy, and his name is Father Bob. I laughed inside because I never want him to think I am laughing at him. So, Father Bob made the rap song of the day! We have this big stuffed animal. It is from one of the movies that the kids have. It is about 3 1/2 ft. in height. My 6 1/2 year old son, Abram was playing with it. He picked it up by the head and threw a small ball at it s head and said, Look, this is David and Goliath. As the ball hit the stuffed animal s head, Abram dropped him to the floor. When you read, teach and discuss the stories of the bible in their every day lives, all children will have it embedded in their life, actions and PLAY.
