2 20/20 Project Funding Update Quarter Pledged receipts to the 20/20 Fund totaled almost $98,000 during the quarter ended June 30, 2017! We are blessed to have a generous body of Christ at Faith Church! The Ministry Council reviewed projects for funding from all accumulated receipts. In addition to funding the Worship Arts Coordinator Position, the following projects were approved: Tithe 1) $3,910 to Canton Calvary Mission (local) 2) $3,910 to 3Cs (Churches, Classrooms and Clinics) [International] 3) $2,894 for Special Response to crisis and/or disasters includes $939 unspent from Q1. We financially supported the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts of UMCOR. 3 United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) respond to Hurricane Harvey: Please pray for those whose lives are impacted by tropical storm/hurricane Harvey. Texas and Louisiana United Methodist disaster responders are coordinating supplies and response activities including relief housing and financial assistance. 8 Messy Church: Messy Church is a new intergenerational experience that is coming to Faith UMC on the first Saturday of each month at 4:00 pm starting Saturday, October 7th. At Messy Church, people will be able to engage with the day s Bible story through hands-on activities followed by a time of learning and worship and then end our time together with dinner and fellowship. We are looking for people to serve in the following ways: Greeters to welcome folks as they arrive. Station leaders: give people simple directions about the activity at your station and help them complete the activity. Meal team: help prep, serve and clean-up a simple, low prep dinner. Set-up/clean-up team: help set up stations and clean them up at the end of the evening. Contact Bethany Sedziol or Kathy Schmucker for more information. Eli helps him learn how to listen to God. Today we re going to make a card to say thank you to someone who has helped us learn how to listen to God. Choose someone from your church, family, or neighborhood who has taught you about listening to God. As you make cards together, talk about how the person helped you learn to listen to God. Mail the cards or hand-deliver them. PRAY: Dear God, we thank you that there are people who help us learn to listen to you and love you. Help us always remember to say thank you. Amen.
