5 Announcements ADULT FELLOWSHIP TO START Today, April 17th, The Adult Fellowship group will resume regular monthly meetings the third week of each month thru December. A meal will be served in the Fellowship hall at 6:30 PM followed by a program in the Sanctuary. The program topic will be announced before each meeting. All church members are invited to attend. For more information, please call Gene Junger at TRINITY SPRING YARD CLEANUP Our Annual Spring Yard Cleanup Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 23rd, from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. when we will be picking up sticks and debris and preparing the lawn for the summer months. The workload is always easier when shared with the helping hands of others. So come enjoy the Spring weather, your attendance will be greatly appreciated. TUMC to Serve Loaves & Fishes Meal in FDL Monday, April 25, 2016 St. Paul s Cathedral 51 W. Division St. Enter through the east side door. (Broken Bread Entrance) 12 Volunteers are needed for serving. (4-7pm) Cookie makers and monetary donations also needed. Sign-up sheets with further instructions will be out in the church narthex. Relay for Life - Campbellsport High School is holding a Relay for Life event May 13th from 6:00 p.m. till 12:00 a.m. If you would like to participate in an event to help find a cure towards cancer, gather some friends and come join us! There will games, raffles, concessions, and entertainment all night! Sign up a team or make a donation at and help us fight this disease! We hope to see you there! Please let Teresa in the office know if you are interested. Thankyou! An All-U-Can Eat Pancake Breakfast will be held on Sunday May 1 st from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the Theresa Public School. This event is sponsored by Post 270 of the American Legion. Adult tickets are $8.00/$9.00 at the door. Children 6-12yrs $3.00/$4.00 at the door. Children under 6 are free.

7 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL 2016 Friday night, June 3 rd & Saturday, June 4 th Save the date! Calling all 4K-6 th Grade Children! Info/Forms available on the Sunday School wing bulletin board. Register by May 15 th ALL ARE WELCOME! Sunday, April 24th, 3:30 PM Our youth ministry is responsible for the biannual clean-up alongside a stretch of Highway 175. To fulfill this obligation, we need the assistance of youth (age 11 and older) and adults. We'll meet in the church parking lot then travel to the site. If you are able to assist, please let me know so the appropriate number of supplies can be assembled. It will also give me a heads-up who to contact in the event of inclement weather. Thanks, Heidi Zingsheim, Director of Christian Education Session 2: Bible Point: Jesus gives us courage. Bible Story: Jesus and Peter walk on water. (Matthew 14:22-36) In this session kids meet Bryan, who went through a really scary storm. The storm was so bad that Bryan and his family lost their home. That was sad. But Jesus gave Bryan courage to get through that hard time, and Jesus keeps giving Bryan courage in his new home and new school. Youth Mission Trip United Methodist Children's Services (Milwaukee) August 8-10th John Muentner & Teresa Amerling will be leading the group on this annual mission trip. Middle/high school youth and adults are encouraged to consider participating in this eye-opening yet heartwarming experience. Additional information will be forthcoming but save the dates!

God s vision for Trinity UMC how we will accomplish the United Methodist mission is purposefully simple: Love (both God & people; Matthew 22:37-38 & 39-40) Grow (intentionally; Ephesians 3:17; 2 Peter 1:2) Serve (just like Jesus did; Matthew 20:26b-28) These three simple phrases help us stay focused on what is really important LOVE, GROW, and SERVE. 9 INTRODUCTION Pastor Rom The Scriptures bear witness to the fact that, since ancient times, godly parents dedicated their children to the Lord and his service. Hannah brought her child Samuel and dedicated him to God and to the service of his house (see I Samuel 1:28). And in Luke 2:22, we see this: "And when the time came for their purification according to the law of Moses, they brought him (Jesus) up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord." So today, it is with confidence of divine approval that Nora Jean is brought before the Church to be dedicated to God and his service. It is our duty as a Christian congregation to receive Nora into the care of the Church, and to minister to her welfare in every way possible. Just as Hannah dedicated Samuel to the Lord, Nathan and Amanda are dedicating Nora Jean to the Lord. Their hope and prayer is that one day Nora will accept Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior, thereby becoming a disciple of His. Then, at that time, she can make her own decision to be baptized and thus outwardly profess her faith, symbolizing her inward cleansing from sin. Nathan and Amanda will now commit themselves to bringing Nora Jean up in a Christian home, being examples for her to follow VOWS OF THE PARENTS: In presenting Nora Jean for dedication to the Lord, do you confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, acknowledging this child as a gift from God, entrusted to your care? WE DO.

10 Do you therefore dedicate yourselves, with God's help, to live as an example of the Gospel, raising Nora in a Christian home, teaching her by both word and deed what it means to live a life in Christ, and keeping her at all times within the care and ministry of God's Family, the Church? WE DO. Do you dedicate Nora Jean to the Lord, pledging to lead her under Christ's care until by His power she accepts for herself the gift of salvation, becoming in every way what God intends her to be? WE DO. ACT OF DEDICATION: Nora Jean Bodden, as a minister of Jesus Christ, who laid his hands upon the heads of little children in blessing, I now dedicate you to God and his Church, in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. (To the congregation ) Brothers and Sisters of the Family of God, will you fulfill your responsibilities as brothers and sisters to Nora Jean, loving and nurturing her in the knowledge and grace of God the Father, through our Savior Jesus Christ? With God's help, we promise to follow Christ's example in the way we live, so that Nora will be encircled by Christians who faithfully love and support her. We will do all that we can to lead her to faith in Jesus Christ, and to confirm and strengthen her in the way that leads to life. PRAYER OF DEDICATION: Gracious and Almighty God, we thank you that you honor our children as a part of your spiritual family. We thank you that under the ministry of your Spirit these parents have been led to dedicate this child to you. Let your blessing rest upon this child whom we have dedicated today; lead her into faith in your Son, Jesus, and grant unto her a renewal of life; give her victory over all that would displease you and make her always strong to do your will. We ask you Lord to also bless these parents who have this day dedicated this child to you; anoint them with your Spirit; empower them to fulfill the vows made before you and this congregation today; and keep them and their family firmly united in the fellowship of Christ and His Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord we pray. Amen.
