Dr. Jody Moore THE HYMN: Battle Hymn of the Republic... BATTLE HYMN Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord: He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; He hath loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword: His truth is marching on. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on. (Repeat Refrain) THE PRESENTATION OF COLOURS... American Legion Fort Raleigh Post 26 THE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. THE NATIONAL ANTHEM: The Star Spangled Banner... Francis Scott Key Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light, What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming? Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight' O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming. And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air, Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. Oh, say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? THE CONGREGATIONAL HYMN MEDLEY: One Nation, Under God...AMERICA/MATERNA My Country, tis of Thee My country tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing: Land where my fathers died, Land of the Pilgrim s pride, From ev ry mountain side let freedom ring! Our Father s God to Thee, Author of liberty, to Thee we sing: Long may our land be bright with freedom s holy light; Protect us by Thy might, great God, our King!

3 America, the Beautiful O beautiful for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed His grace on thee, And crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea! PEOPLE: The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to captives, and freedom to the prisoners. LEADER: PEOPLE: LEADER: LEADER: Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless tempest tossed to me. I lift my lamp beside the golden door. Come unto Me, all you who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest. You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. What is it that will keep America great?
