He is risen indeed. If we have died with him, we shall also live with him. (2 Timothy 2:11) For as in Adam, all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. (1 Corinthians 15:22) Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here. He has risen. (Luke 24:5) He is risen indeed! Alleluia! The grace of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you. And also with you. Let us pray: O God, you gave your only Son to suffer death on the cross for our redemption, and by his glorious resurrection you delivered us from the power of death. Make us die every day to sin, that we may live with him forever in the joy of the resurrection, through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. 10 K E Y R E A D I N G S A P P L Y P R A Y E R INSPIRING WORSHIP ALL WEEK Then Jesus told him, Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed. Preparing for Sunday, April 8 1Day 1 - Psalm 133 2Day 2 - Acts 4: Day 3-1 John 1:1-2:2 4Day 4 - John 20: Day 5-1 John 5:1-6 6Day 6 - Psalm 31:24 *Sunday readings in bold. I m sure all of us could relate to the disciple Thomas at one time or another in our lives. Having our hopes built up, only to have them dashed as Thomas had his hopes dashed after the crucifixion of Jesus. We become afraid to hope the next time, and demand definite proof before we will believe. Yet we know Jesus enabled Thomas to overcome his doubt, and enabled him to become a great witness for Him in the world. So also can we be comforted by today s key verse where Jesus promises us a special blessing to be his servants in today s world, because we have not seen, and yet have believed in Him. Loving Heavenly Father-Guide us with your Spirit to those who have lost faith because of tragedy and dashed hopes. Help us to become examples of hope and light to them in a sin darkened world, so they too can be restored. Breathe your spirit of peace into us.
