Call to Confession Prayer of Confession Confession The Reverend Erika Funk All: Lord, you are before and behind us, whether we stand in the midst of a crowd or the edge of the wilderness. We look at your path, but sometimes we are afraid and we turn our eyes back instead; we long for what is comfortable and familiar. We hear your voice, but it is so easy to turn toward the many other voices offering a life of fun and prosperity. We pray for your will to be done, but it is easier to just go along as we always have. Forgive us, O God. Turn us forward, and set our feet on your path. All are invited to come down the center aisle to one of our communion stations (the station on the far right is gluten-free). Take a piece of bread, dip it in the cup, and partake of communion. You may return to your seat by the side aisle. Those unable to come forward will be served communion at their seats. A time of personal prayer is offered following the service. Mindful Motion for K-2nd Graders Sunday, July 8 During worship Next week, children who have completed kindergarten through 2nd grade are invited to participate in a brief mindful motion session during the worship service that will nurture their physical, emotional, and social needs through games, body postures, and breath awareness activities. Children will be escorted to P206 after the baptism and will return before the last hymn. Care Brunch Bunch The Prime Timers will gather for Brunch Bunch on July 8 and August 12. The group will meet after the 11 a.m. service and walk to a nearby restaurant. Give Flowers from our Service The Flower Ministry Team will make arrangements from the sanctuary flowers following the service on July 15. Serve Baseball for Haiti Mission Saturday, August 18 7:05 p.m. Join us to support the Bethesda medical clinic in Bayonnais, Haiti, as the Knights take on the Louisville Bats.
