3 April Events March Happenings Weeki Wachee Christian Camp Benefit Dinner March 9 at 6:00 pm On Saturday, March 9 at 6:00 pm, WWCC will be hosting the first benefit dinner at Weeki Wachee Camp which will hopefully become an annual tradition of celebrating the camp and familiarizing others with the unique facility and it s long-term goals. The guest speaker will be Jacob Evans, graduate of Freed -Hardeman University with a BA in Bible and English as well as a Master s Degree in Ministry and Divinity. You are invited to sponsor a table and host guests new to WWCC or fill your table with your own invited guests. For more information, contact: Tim Jones at Learning to Read Scripture Class March 17 at 5:00 pm On March 17, 2019 at 5:00 pm, Neal Pharr is hosting a BBQ and Learning to Read Scripture training. This opportunity will be open to any of our men who are interested in learning or improving their public reading skills. The hope is to train the baptized young men and anyone who wants to learn how to serve in this capacity to increase the number of men we have available to serve. April Events Tampa Bay Area Benefit Dinner and Silent Auction April 13, 2019 MDCH invites you to attend the Tampa Bay Area Benefit Dinner at 6pm, Saturday, April 13th at the Double Tree Hotel (I-275 at Westshore), 4500 West Cypress St, Tampa. Enjoy an evening of good food and fellowship and learn more about the ministry of MDCH. In addition, please plan to attend the Silent Auction from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, immediately preceding the dinner. Tickets are required for the dinner, but may be obtained for free by contacting Byron or Sandy Boyer or the church office. Soar Youth Rally March 22-24, 2019 SOAR stands for "Seeking Our Awesome Redeemer" and is a weekend Youth Rally that the Central Church of Christ (Augusta, GA) puts on each year for 9th-12th graders around the southeast. This is their 18th year! SOAR is the weekend of March 22-24, We hope that you will attend and be a part of SOAR Cost per teen/adult for SOAR 2019 is $100. Your cost includes the following: SOAR 2019 T-shirt, meals, lodging, and more. If you missed the registration deadline of February 27, 2019, contact: Tim or timothyjones@ntcofc.org Gift Baskets for the Silent Auction In preparation for the Silent Auction, Life Groups and others have been asked to consider collecting items for and assembling a theme basket to place in the Mount Dora Silent Auction at the April 13 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm immediately preceding the dinner. Ideas for baskets are posted on the church bulletin board. Please include a list of items in the basket and the approximate basket value with each basket. A volunteer will be at the church building to collect auction items beginning March 25 and ending April 11 Monday Thursday from 10am to 2pm.
