Ah, no! God hung it there against the ages. It is for all of us. Its radiance enfolds us all, knowing no bound of creed, color or servitude. It guides the aged home, it is reflected in the eyes of babes, generation after generation and in the eyes of mothers seeking in their babes the countenance of Christ. All, all of us are come once more under the spell of the star, come to take new hope in peace and the Prince of Peace. PRAYERS We will pray for those who are ill, hospitalized or recuperating. The recent donations of food disappeared in no time. We are seeing a lot of new faces besides our regulars. Last week we had 70 families to feed. Thank you for helping to feed them all. 4 PRAYING THE ROSARY You are invited to pray the Rosary with us. We meet before the 12:10 p.m. Mass to pray the Rosary, and to ask our Blessed Mother to intercede for us as we pray for our priests, deacons and religious; for vocation; we pray for the children of our parish, and for those who ask us to pray for their intentions. We pray for the sick, for those in the hospital, and for those too ill to pray. We pray for our government leaders, for world peace, and for an end to abortions. Won t you please consider joining us at 11:20 a.m., to pray the Rosary? For as Our Lord said; where two or three are gathered in My Name PARISH REGISTRATION Forms are available in the parish office for anyone who may be interested in joining the Holy Family Parish Community of Faith. If parishioners have a change of name, address, telephone number, etc., please call the parish office. MEMORIAL RESTORATION FUND All donations in memory of those who have died, etc. can be made to the Holy Family Memorial Restoration Fund. Names will be added to the plaque that was recently installed in the front entrance of church for anyone who has donated $100 or more toward this fund. Stop in or call the Parish Office. All are welcome! Why do we call it Epiphany? The word "epiphany" comes from the Greek epiphainen, a verb that means "to shine upon," "to manifest," or "to make known." Epiphany celebrates the many ways that Christ, and the light of His salvation, is made known to the world. A perfect start to the year Epiphany - What a perfect feast to start the year with! As we read the magi s story we are challenged to begin the year on our feet, already walking on the path of righteousness. We are given the gift of a mission, called to look up toward God, following His star even when earthly authority stands in our way. We are reminded to carry our gifts faithfully, laying them at the feet of God, allowing Him to make full use of those gifts. Epiphany says to every heart, stand up from your apathy, look up to God, lift up your gifts and follow His path. What better recipe for a year could we find? HERKIMER DEANERY VOCATIONS Wednesdays from 7-8 PM, there will be a Holy Hour for Vocations at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Church, Frankfort. The Holy Hour will consist of Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Readings, Rosary and Prayer for Vocations, Quiet Time for Reflection and Benediction. We ask everyone to come and spend time with our Blessed Lord and offer prayers for an increase of Vocations to the Priesthood, Diaconate and Religious Life.
