2 BOB S THOUGHTS God has three names for those children you teach. He called them a heritage. As to their origin, he spoke of them as the fruit of the womb. He closed His short psalm by describing them as arrows. Psalm 127 in its latter part is his poetic message about children. Heritage? Ah, the gift unearned, conveying a blessing, desired. It is also very personal your heritage is not mine: it is something very special just for you. What a joy it is when a parent says, I want you to meet my son, or daughter. Others have sons and daughters these are mine! Heritage conveys the idea of a possession that is assigned. Children need to be viewed as God s property - He assigns them to you. Take special care of your heritage! Treat it with proper respect. Fruit is wholesome. It is good for you. It provides something nothing else can. It conveys the idea of delight. God intends the family for a special reward. The fruit of the womb is His imparted blessing. Finally, children are arrows. They are yours to aim. They are yours to speed toward a target. Responsibility is placed in your hands. They are not designed for disappointment. It is not their ministry to embarrass. It is their purpose to bless, not make you ashamed. When the crises comes, those well-pointed arrows will successfully find the mark. You ve no more glorious task - train up a child in the way he should go - bringing them up in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord. Then will you know why God said of you blessed is the man that hath his quiver full of them. They are worthy of every hour you can invest in them. Do it well, and this world, Jesus church, as well as home will be a better place! Have a Great Week! Bob SAVE THE DATE Eastern European Missions will again be hosting their annual dinner on Tuesday, March 28th, at K.E. Bushman s Event Center in Tyler. Mark your calendar and stay tuned for more information! FAMILY MATTERS CAMPAIGN SUNDAY SCHEDULE Today is Campaign Sunday. All adult classes will meet in the auditorium. Jim Smith is scheduled to teach class, as well as, speak at the AM & PM services. These sessions will be full of great information as we pray & prepare for the March Campaign! HEARING AIDS Hearing aids are now available in the Sound Room!! If you would benefit from a little extra assistance in hearing the many aspects of our worship service, please see Ben Bradshaw or Wayne Hampton. KITCHEN CLEANING The refrigerator in the Fellowship Hall kitchen is full of food that doesn t belong to our Wednesday night meal program. What isn t claimed by Sunday, March 12th, will be tossed during the kitchen Spring Cleaning on March 13th. ARMS OF HOPE The Arms of Hope grocery truck will be in our area the week of March 20th. They are requesting our help with the following supplies: Pledge Furniture Polish, Ranch Dressing & Graham Crackers. In the month of February, 3 men at the Bradshaw facility and 25 men & 29 women at the MTC facility accepted Christ in baptism for a YTD total of 151. May God continue to bless this ministry. MISSIONS REMINDER Contributions to South Main Missions can be made throughout the year by using one of the white envelopes located on the back of the pew. Mark your donation for Missions and place it in the contribution plate so that the funds can be added to the Missions account. Thank you for your continued support as we strive to support our missionaries in these great works.
