MAY 21, TH Ordination Anniversary Celebration for Fr. Vincent at the 4-H Building at 12:00 Noon. Please come to celebrate Father Vincent and the Priesthood! Bishop Weisenburger will celebrate a special Mass for mothers of the Salina Diocese who have experienced the death of a child. The Mass will be offered on Friday, May 12, at 10:30 AM at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Salina. A reception will follow in the parish hall. Mothers interested in attending are to RSVP by May 5 to Michelle Martin at mmartin@ccnks.org or at One or two photos (digital format) of their deceased child can be submitted to jeff.easter@salinadiocese.org by May 1 to be included in a special video presentation to be shared at the reception. SPECIAL COLLECTION FOR NATIONAL SHRINE -The bishops of the United States have approved a special one-time collection to take place in parishes across the nation on May 14, This collection will support the mosaic ornamentation of the Trinity Dome, the crowning jewel of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. If you wish to contribute to this collection, please place your donation in a plain envelope and place the envelope in the collection basket on Sunday, May 14. Thank you for your generosity.

In 2016, the Diocese of Salina s parishes collected $58, in support of these faithful servants of our Church. Since the appeal began years ago, our Diocese has donated a total of $1,396, to help religious communities care for their senior members. This is truly extraordinary and a sign of the deep faith as well as the warm sentiments and esteem our people hold for our retired religious. This year dates and times for Vacation Bible School have changed. The dates for this year are June 5-8. It will begin on Monday, June 5 and end on Thursday, June 8. Each session will run from 9:30-11:30 a.m. VBS 2017 is a victory celebration! In Mighty Fortress VBS, your children learn that in Jesus, the victory is won! They ll look into the Bible, God s Holy Word, and explore five Bible accounts about God, our Mighty Fortress, and the victory Jesus has won for us. Registration is open for grades Preschool, Pre-K and Kindergarten (this year s grade). Come along with us as we sing fun songs, eat yummy snacks, play awesome games and more.
