JUNE - Universal Social Networks That social networks may work towards that inclusiveness which respects other for their differences. JULY - Evangelization Priests and their Pastoral Ministry That priests, who experience fatigue and loneliness in their pastoral work, may find help and comfort in their intimacy with the Lord and in their friendship with their brother priests. AUGUST - Universal The Treasure of Families That any far-reaching decisions of economists and politicians may protect the family as one of the treasures of humanity. Lost & Found hall & 3 rd gr. Progress Reports are home! If you have not seen a copy, please let me know and I will one to you. Unit 4 Remember to read and discuss the chapters in Unit 4 at home over the summer months. It s a great way to spend some quality time with your child!

2 St. Elizabeth PREP Registration for Information will go out in July concerning our Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) and registration for classes which will start in September. Early registration will earn you a nice discount. Keep an eye out for further information! ing Registration Forms: In July, you will receive an e stating: To save on postage, please respond to this e if you are able to receive an electronic version of the registration forms rather than having them mailed to you. It would be a wonderful help to save the parish postage & stationery. NEW ALTAR SERVER TRAINING for students entering grades in September: Monday Thursday, June 25, 26, 27 & 28 from 12:30 2:00 PM Please plan on attending all four mandatory sessions to complete your training. Bring a lunch if you are helping at VBS that week so you can eat before practice. Easter Season Basket Raffle Many thanks to all who participated! We made a profit of $73.75 for Snack Pack Pals! Congratulations to our winner: Nha-Quyen Nguyen! PREP has furthered your child s education in faith - here are a few other ideas to help keep your family inspired! *Volunteer for St. Elizabeth s VBS - it s a ton of fun! *Pray a decade of the Rosary before Sunday dinner *Attend Mass Every Sunday especially on vacation - it s a great experience to go to churches in various cities or states *Go on a family Retreat *Create a giving bowl and let the children donate the change to the poor box or use to buy items for the food bank that the students select

3 *Break out the Pinterest idea kit and create a sacred place in your garden or create a Rosary Garden *Visit a Shrine or go on a Pilgrimage *Create a piece of art - one to keep out all year or even something special for a holiday *Volunteer for food drives, to organize your local food pantry, or make a purchase to donate - involve extended family or reach out to friends *Try to do a good deed each and every day - teach them to go out of their way to help others *Keep nourishing your child s faith! A final note home: I just want to say thank you to all our wonderful catechists and volunteers, to all our students and parents and to Father Pendzick and Deacon Mike for helping to make St. Elizabeth s a top-notch Religious Education Program. Please keep coming to Mass every week. Consider sending your students to Vacation Bible School. Sign-up to be an altar server. Complete Unit #4 in your

5 books over the summer. Look for registration information in July. Early registrations are due in mid-august and a lot you a discount! Never stop learning about your Faith. Our parish will hold our annual Basket Social on Columbus Day weekend, October 5, 6,, & 7 to benefit our parish s Religious Education for all! Start saving your baskets and theme ideas. We are hoping to start the new school year off right so that we can fund various program ideas and activities to enrich our learning about our Lord and His Church!
