6 ANNOUNCEMENTS East Cleveland Serving Day: Saturday, October 20 - Stop in the Parlor this morning to sign up for our fall East Cleveland Serving Day, which will start with continental breakfast and worship at 8 am at New Life Cathedral, Euclid Avenue, with the community serving occurring from 9 am to 12 pm, followed by a deli luncheon at COTS. See insert for Serving sites. Come serve and enjoy the fellowship! Join the Spiritual Fitness Group for East Cleveland Serving Day. Meet at 8:00 am at New Life Cathedral. Conversation on Race - today at 12:30 pm in the Great Hall. Brian Smart leads the one-hour discussion on our frustrations, fears, and hopes at tables with others. Parent Connect: We will be wrapping up the series Parenting, the Early Years. Come join like-minded parents who share experiences and challenges in raising up their families in Christ. Monday, Oct. 15 from 6-7 pm in the Parlor. Childcare will be provided. Charge Conference - Wednesday, October 24 at 7 pm in Calvary Hall. Charge Conference is the annual meeting of the congregation. At Church of the Saviour, this functions as a kind of "State of the Church" meeting, during which we measure progress on our ministry goals, celebrate what we have accomplished, and look forward to where God is calling us. All members of Church of the Saviour are welcome with voice and vote. The next UMVIM Team Leader Training date is Saturday, October 27 from 9:30 am -3:30 pm. Learn more about East Ohio best practices, ways to be connectional and build mission partnerships in healthy ways that empower local folks and create principled Christian leaders who help to make disciples for the transformation of the world. This training can be for youth leaders, laity and clergy who would like to lead mission teams locally, nationally and internationally. Don t forget to register for this month s COTS Kids Family Connect Scavenger Hunt and Pizza Party! We ll hunt for clues to a prayer involving wait for it pumpkins! Fun & games (and of course pizza) awaits your entire family! Sunday, October 28 from 12:30 2 pm in the Great Hall. Registration is required and ends on October 26. The cost to participate is $5 per person. Call the church for more information. Breathe Respite is November 2. Breathe is an evening of respite for families of children with special needs. Children those with special needs and their siblings aged 18 and under are invited to a night of fun activities just for them. Their parents are invited to take a break and enjoy an evening for themselves while their children are cared for and entertained.
