4 ANNOUNCEMENTS Interested in joining Church of the Saviour? A brief membership inquiry session will be held today following the 9:30 and 11 a.m. services in room 121 (come to the one more convenient for you). Learn about what it means to be a member, how to learn more, and how to take the next step. Each session will last approximately minutes. Each family is welcome to take home an Advent booklet located at the Welcome Desk in the Tower Entrance, on the table outside the Great Hall, and in the hallway rack by the main office. During Advent, hang some love on the Mitten Tree! Bring new mittens, hats, or scarves and hang them on the Christmas tree outside the Great Hall. They will go to OhioGuidestone to keep kids in our community warm. Festival of Lessons & Carols Sunday, December 11 10:30 a.m. in the Sanctuary Prelude begins at 10:15 a.m. The Lessons and Carols Service is a time-honored English tradition, with a format that recounts the expectation and birth of Jesus through Bible readings, congregational carols and special music of the Advent and Christmas Season. The prelude features church organist Robert Day and the professional Starkweather Brass Quintet. This is followed by a dramatic processional of eight choirs singing the ancient carol On This Day, Earth Shall Ring. The service will conclude with nearly 95 singers, brass, organ and congregation sharing in a jazzy arrangement of Go Tell It on the Mountain.
