7 Praise Through Hymns and Organ Music by Mario Esmido Lopez-Fayas Mario Esmido Lopez-Fayas will be holding a concert at Valley View SDA Church today at 2:30 PM. Mario is a graduate of the Esteban Salas Conservatory of Music in Cuba and is currently studying Musicology and Liturgy at the Pontifical Institute of Sacred Music in Rome, Italy. Sabbath School Council Meeting There will be a Sabbath School Council meeting on Monday August 20 th at 6:30 PM in the Multipurpose Room. We re asking for all (Adult and Children s) Sabbath School leaders and teachers to please plan to attend. Please call Bob Dale at for more information. Youth Sabbath School Please note that the Youth Sabbath School Lesson Study is meeting as usual at 10:00 AM in the Youth Chapel, but due to summer, the Youth Breakfast and Song Service will resume at the Better Living Center on September 15. Mission Emphasis Sabbath with the Melashenko s Have you been looking for the perfect opportunity to invite a friend or neighbor to church? Music is the language of the heart. This concert provides that opportunity! The Melashenkos have been blessing audiences all over the world with their Christ-centered music and preaching for more than five decades. They are looking forward to returning to Grants Pass where they began their ministry 35 years ago. Your hearts will be lifted heavenward and your souls refreshed. Pastor Melashenko will be speaking for the 11AM main church service. Afterwards, there will be a Fellowship Luncheon in the Better Living Center, and then they ll end the Sabbath with a Gospel concert starting at 6:30 PM. Don t miss this special event! Jaime Jorge in Concert Violin virtuoso Jaime Jorge will give a concert here at the Grants Pass SDA Church on Saturday, September 15, beginning at 6:00 PM. His expressive mastery of the violin has delighted audiences around the globe. Jaime has dedicated his talents to sharing the love of God through sacred and classical concerts and special appearances the world over, touching millions of lives. JOIN the CHOIR! You'll be glad you did!! Excitement is in the air and preparations are underway for the choirs' 1st Annual Christmas Program this year. Rehearsals begin on August 24th at 7:00 PM in the Choir Room. 8 Fall Bible Camp for Youth God is, You are, We Can Calling all Youth (grades 9 12) to attend this year s Fall Bible Camp at the Washington Family Ranch s Canyon Camp in Antelope, OR from Sept Find out what it means to be a follow of Jesus Christ and how this impacts daily decisions and choices. BLBN Better Life TV has begun airing Brian McMahon s video series that was recorded here at the church in February and March. Please tune in Monday through Thursday at 6 PM to follow the series. Grants Pass Spanish Ministry Our church is blessed to have a ministry which reaches out to our Hispanic members and community. Spanish Sabbath School (9:30 AM) and Spanish Worship Service (11:00 AM) and a bi-lingual Vespers (6:00 PM) takes place each Sabbath. However, school is about to start and some families are still needing financial help.
