7 It s time for Vacation Bible School again! This year, children will take a journey to Cactusville: Where Kids are Called to Follow Jesus. Cactusville is located at 2250 NW Heidi Lane, in north Grants Pass. The adventure starts July 23 through 27, 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for ages 5 to 12. Cactusville is one of the most adventurous towns in the West. It is a mining town, tucked away in the desert. The sun is always shining and the skies are bright blue. The peaks of the surrounding mountains look like broken spurs. Children will enjoy a fun adventure while learning that they are called by God. They are called to be unconditionally loved and accepted. God s calling includes a revelation of His unique purpose for each and every child. Each day your buckaroos and li l cowpokes will discover ways in which God has called them. They will learn how they can accept and live out this calling. Note from the Library It appears that someone borrowed four discs from the Word of Promise Audio Bible set from the library. They are discs #73-76 which include Acts 26 through 1 st Timothy. The discs had not yet been entered into the library system so we have no idea who took them. Please return them asap so we can complete the tracking of the items so everyone can enjoy them. Thank you! Grants Pass SDA School Registration for Our school is now accepting applications for next school year. Students who will be in grades K-8 are welcome to make arrangements to tour the school and meet with the principal. Call for more information. Help us spread the word! Church Calendar Scheduling To avoid scheduling conflicts, please contact the church office when planning an event or when you need to use a room in the church, the sanctuary, or the Better Living Center. All activities, and especially those other-than-thenormally-scheduled usages, must be put on the church calendar. Thank you! Brian McMahon DVD sets Brian McMahon ed to give an update on the Prophecy Unsealed Seminar DVD sets. He says the sets should be ready to mail by mid-july and he ll be in touch with anyone who ordered them. Prayer Chain Group We are thrilled to have so many people requesting to be put on the Church s Prayer Chain group. We know God answers prayer and the more people praying, the more God works! To streamline the requests, we re asking that ALL prayer requests go through the church s office@grantspasschurch.com so we can consolidate the requests. Dorcas Many in the community of Grants Pass are blessed with food and clothing that is distributed from our center. Redwood Camp Meeting July Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest, Matthew 11:28 (NKJV) is the theme of this year s Redwood Camp Meeting. 9 Gladstone Camp Meetings Come be part of the team! Do you want to have a great time helping others and being part of a team that feels like family? If so, consider volunteering during camp meeting this year! We re looking for hard working individuals who want to serve God through service to others and who want to have fun doing it! We need volunteers for Hispanic Camp Meeting (July 12-14) and Gladstone Camp Meeting (July 17-21) in a variety of areas including Hospitality, Shuttle Service, Safety and Security. We will also need licensed RNs and EMTs/paramedics. Whether you can work one day, or all week, we d love to have you on our team!
