Then a dove from heaven came down and there was a glory all around. And the Spirit led the way as the Lord began his ministry that day. And as others come to the water to renew today. The Holy Spirit leads the way. As we gather by the water, God s blessings shower down and now the Holy Spirit seems to say: This is my child in whom I am well pleased. This is my child who comes to follow me. And my Spirit will some down, my love and power will surround. And I will lead the way as my child begins a life of faith today. An ASP Thank You Thank you to all who so generously participated in our ASP offering on Christmas Eve. We received $2,461 to help make homes warmer, safer and drier in Appalachia, and to benefit our 29th mission trip! Youth Choir 2019 Youth Choir, for 2nd through 5th graders, resumes this Sunday, January 13 and we welcome new singers to our group! (Sunday, February 10 at 6:00 p.m.) Fred Rogers, a Presbyterian pastor, had a call to a special kind of ministry. He had deep theological convictions and a generous perspective. Sunday evening, Feb. 10 at 6:00 p.m., we will have a screening of the acclaimed 2018 documentary Won t You Be My Neighbor, followed by two classes - each with a different emphasis. Stay tuned! Faith Today: Short Stories by Jesus: The Enigmatic Parables of a Controversial Rabbi by Amy Jill Levine, professor of NT studies at Vanderbilt, led by Sheri Mitten, Room 100. Faith and Families: Currently studying Animate: Faith, in the Fellowship Hall. Adult I: Our Love of God continues with study of passages from I Thessalonians, the epistles of John and James, Philippians, and Psalms. Parlor. Children and Worship leaders are a key part of our ministry to 4-7 year olds. We need 2 more leaders trained to guide our children in experiencing the presence of God. This is a crucial need. Children in Worship happens during the first 40 minutes of the 11:00 a.m. worship service before the children return to the Sanctuary for a time of greeting, singing, and Bible passage presentation and response.
