2 1 December Auckland-based camp leaders have a training weekend on Ponui Island 1-2 December. Please pray for those running the sessions and that the weekend would be enriching and refreshing for all who attend. 6 December Please pray for Auckland Children and Families Consultants Paul Dadd (leading a Christmas Story Assembly at a primary school today) and Annette Osborne (as she prepares for January Landlubbers SUPAkidz camp). 11 December Give thanks for Otago/Southland Youth Consultant Lizzie Moore and pray as she prepares to lead Wild Wanaka camp. 2 December Hilary Hague and the senior leadership team are preparing budgets in December and January. Please uphold them in prayer in this process. 3 December Pray for final preparations for the two E3 wilderness expeditions starting on 8 December. Pray that it will be a time of spiritual growth and preparation for life after school for the senior high school students on these journeys. 4 December Uphold Resources for Life Manager Toni McDonald and pray for our bookstore which is refining its stock lines. Please pray we find a suitable wholesale purchaser for stock we no longer wish to hold. 5 December Please pray for all the summer camps: that God brings the right people leaders, cooks, helpers and campers; for studies and programmes; for any last minute gaps in people, activities and programmes to be filled; for safety paperwork that is due tomorrow and safety on camps. 7 December Give thanks for National Support Centre staff in Wellington as they share a Christmas lunch today. 8 December E3 Canterbury and Otago wilderness expeditions start today and run to 19 December, with Team Leaders Mark Johnson (Otago) and Andrew Shepherd (Canterbury). Please pray for safety in the mountains and all the logistics. Pray too for the Wallace family at Minaret Station may the peace of Christ be with them as they cope with the death of family in helicopter crashes and for our teams as they interact with the family, that we can serve them and be sensitive to their grief. 9 December Praise God for the great uptake of the Āpōpō mental health/suicide awareness programme and uphold Paul Humphreys in this ministry as well as his South Island camps ministry and E3 journeys. 10 December National Support Centre staff in Wellington meet together today (and every Monday) to read the Bible and pray together. Please give thanks for their hard work to support our ministries. 12 December The national leadership team meets today. Please pray for them as they talk and plan and pray together. 13 December There is a Thank you morning tea for our Wellington volunteers today. Please give thanks for our volunteers right across the country. We are very grateful for them. 14 December Pray for Annette Osborne telling the Christmas story at a preschool centre today. 15 December Andy Banks is back in the UK until 4 January and will be speaking at two of his UK supporting churches tomorrow. 16 December Paul Dadd is running an all-age Christmas celebration service at St Chad s Anglican Church in Meadowbank. Pray God would be glorified as they engage with the Christmas story together. Pray too for Nigel Winder preparing for a Christmas Service at Lochiel Community Church on Sunday. 1 December PAGE 2-16 December

3 17 December Please pray for Richard Starling as he considers starting a new Stay Real programme based in the community rather than in a school as is usual. Pray for protection of his drop-in centre and carving studio and for all the at-risk youth he works with. 18 December Pray for Rev Stuart Lange as he prepares his material as speaker for the Ponui Bible Study Camp (19-25 January). Pray that he would know the Holy Spirit s leading in his preparation. 19 December Auckland SUPAkidz Camp leader's training day. Pray for Paul Dadd and Annette Osborne as they lead this day and for the team as they prepare for camp together. 20 December Please pray that our Engage youth Bible reading app and print Bible Reading Guides will help users engage with God s word. 21 December Please pray for safety on the roads and in travel for our staff and all those on holiday and visiting family and friends this holiday season. 17 December 22 December Praise God for our SUPAkidz Club leaders, and pray for refreshment over the holiday period. 23 December Paul Dadd is running an all-age Christingle service at St Margaret's Church. Please pray that community families will encounter God through the remarkable story of the first Christmas. 24 December Uphold Andrew Ramsbottom as he prepares for Landlubbers SUPAkidz camp in January and an intergenerational Christmas Day service at St Chad's Anglican. 25 December Christmas Day Rejoice as we celebrate our Saviour s birth. The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14 26 December Pray for all staff and their families as they spend time with whānau over Christmas. 27 December Give thanks for Kate Amos, our Operations and Fundraising Manager. Pray for wisdom as she balances all she does and for blessing as she seeks donations. Pray for wisdom and insight and clarity of vision as they lead SUNZ. 29 December Pray for good health for all our team members and their families. 30 December Thank God for the Chamberlin family who generously allow their island (Ponui) to be used by four SUNZ camps each summer, and give of their time in transporting campers and advising directors. Pray that God would bless them richly! 31 December Give thanks for 2018, for the ministries of SUNZ and all the young people reached by our programmes. 1 January New Years Day Give thanks to the Lord for the new year and pray for His hand to be guiding SUNZ in the year ahead. 2 January Give thanks for National Director Hilary Hague and pray that she will know God's guidance and direction as she leads our organisation into January Praise God for the successful launch of our 2018 He Waka Eke Noa: Children s Ministry Survey. Pray that this resource will continue to promote the place of the child in church and community. - 3 January

Please pray for the Team Leader Jamie Gray and the team; for campers to have a life-changing encounter with God and His word; for fun and safe activities and good health. 5 January Please pray for Wild Wanaka (till 10 January): for leaders to be sensitive to God s guidance; for campers to encounter God; for good weather and God s hand over all logistical aspects of camp; for first-time Team Leader Lizzie Moore. 6 January Give thanks for Karen Poy and Bronwyn Withington as they manage the camps administration. Pray for clear thinking and easy processes as they do so much in the background of our camping ministry. 7 January Give thanks for the rest of our admin team around the country: Glenis, Alison, Janet and Hope. 4 January 8 January Give thanks for National Youth Ministry Leader Neville Bartley. Pray for his vision and enabling of the team's ministry, and for his preparation for the Exodus Prime young leadership programme camp. 9 January Give thanks for the birth of Paul and Robin Humphrey s daughter Ruby and pray for them and Moana as she adjusts to having a new sister. 10 January Please pray for safety for all those travelling to and from camps and holidays. 11 January Ponui Senior camp starts today (till 18 January). Uphold Team Leader Jo Wieland, leaders and campers. Pray that campers will experience God in a new way as they enjoy this beautiful island. 12 January Raglan Surfari runs from today till 18 January. Uphold Team Leader Luke Stormer and everyone for safety, fun, and meaningful times of study and reflection. 13 January Te Anau Extend (till 18 January). Uphold first-time Team Leader Sara Bell, the team and campers. Give thanks for the perfect provision of our needs. Give thanks too for the committed leaders who have travelled from near and far, away from home, family and work. Pray for camp mentors; for graduating campers as they complete their final camp; for safety on the community service day. Wellington Landlubbers SUPAkidz camp also starts today (till 18 January), please pray for Andrew Ramsbottom, the team and campers. 15 January Give thanks for the service to SUNZ of Lower North Island Youth Consultant Eugene Fuimaono and his wife Hope (youth admin), and pray as they prepare to shift to Auckland for a full immersion Te Reo course next year. 16 January WAY2GO children's ministry conferences this year are: 25 May in Dunedin; 8 June in Auckland; 22 June in Wellington. Please pray for Nigel Winder and the Team as they finalise the theme and workshops, set up registration system, organisie the brochure mailout and prepare programme. 17 January Give thanks for our Finance Team of Ishani, Anitha and Xiang January

5 18 January Please pray for Marketing Manager Jamuel Enriquez and Communications Assistant Janice Hunt: for wisdom and creativity as they seek to communicate our vision for lifelong discipleship grounded in Bible engagement and prayer. 19 January Pray for all who are attending the Ponui Bible Study Camp (19-25 January) that this week would be a refreshing time physically, emotionally and spiritually. Give thanks for organiser Jenny Mackie and the team. 20 January Please pray for last summer camps starting today: Gizzy Surfari (till 26 January; Team Leader Luke Stormer) and Te Anau Wind'n'Water (till 25 January; Team Leader Sara Ball). Please pray for the leadership teams; good weather; physical protection; a time of positive relationship building for campers and leaders; that campers can have a spiritual connection with our loving God. 21 January Auckland Landlubbers SUPAkidz camp starts today (till 25 January). Please pray: for a safe camp; that children will gain lots from being in community together, be captivated God's story and see how it speaks into their own lives; that God's Spirit will be at work in the lives of the children and leaders; for Annette Osborne and Paul Dadd leading. 18 January 22 January The Finance Committee are a group of volunteers who look after the finances of SUNZ: Alastair Boult (Treasurer), Ruth Early, Meredith MacKenzie, Jason Masters. Please thank God for his provision for SUNZ and pray for wisdom for the committee. 23 January Give thanks for Auckland Youth Consultant Andy Banks and some exciting new ministry opportunities developing for next year in the Auckland region. 24 January Give thanks for Wellington Children and Families Consultant Liz Eichler and pray as she plans NZ Children's Ministry Network meeting in Wellington in February. 25 January Rejoice in the lives impacted by SUNZ summer camps. Pray for good support and encouragement for campers to grow their faith in their home churches and communities. 26 January Give thanks for all those who financially support SUNZ and remember us in their wills. 27 January Pray for Supporter Relations Facilitator Sylvia Coulter as she preaches at Glenfield Presbyterian Church today.
