I will lift up the light of My countenance upon you and you will live under My smile. In this place of permission, ask of Me. Ask Me for your city Align yourself with My passion, resonate with My heart. (excerpt from prophetic word for NZ given by Graham Cooke at NZ Aglow Conference March 2016) God is inviting us to partner with Him to bring revival to our nation. In sharing with us on 24 th April Rod Kell challenged us: The world is crying out for an accurate representation of God here on earth; ones who release that which they believe. We are to model His presence /the Kingdom of God; to value what He says and thinks above what we think. We can hear and know, but we need to live it! (listen to full sermon on ALC website.) This is a time to step out and take God inspired risks! God loves doing miracles. He wants to show Himself strong. Colossians 2:9-10 says For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority. When we truly encounter the love of God we can t remain the same. Changed forever! We start to see through His eyes. Inspired and empowered by His love we step out and do His will. It is exciting to see Is54 the Centre glass curtain installed. Praise God! Grateful thanks to those who have contributed thus far. Let s continue to pray for ongoing the release of funds to complete our new building by July For the women: This month we look forward to One Heart Tauranga combined churches women s conference (6 th -7 th May) This certainly will be a powerful expression of the unity that is building within the Body of Christ in Tauranga. Heart Sisters continues, with ones anonymously encouraging each other. Our 6:30pm prayer meeting on 8 th May will be led by the men. As Sammy Sta Lucia s song says Seeing the invisible; believing the unbelievable; we step out and receive the impossible! At present the build up to the USA elections seems to be attracting lots of attention, with much talk about the dangers of the wrong person becoming President, so I did some research on what can

5 Social Concern Nga mihi ki te whanau hahi. Greetings to the church family. It's a challenge to write for the social concerns page. Easy to get caught up in the drama of current events, that affect us, and overlook the truth, that God is on the throne, and nothing happens He doesn't allow. At present the build up to the USA elections seems to be attracting lots of attention, with much talk about the dangers of the wrong person becoming President, so I did some research on what can happen under the American Constitution. I learnt that all legislation must have majority support in the House of Representatives, 435 members, and the Senate, 100 members, all elected directly by the people. The President can veto legislation, but with a two thirds majority, the House and Senate can pass it anyway. Also with a two thirds majority, the Senate can have the President removed from office. The President however, cannot dissolve the House of Representatives, and or the Senate. Neither can the President call a special election. In view of this, it seems that an aspiring President with radical, unpopular ideas, would battle to get anywhere, so I wonder why they would try. I m told that humanism is Christianity's biggest obstacle, that is, people doing their own thing regardless of what God thinks. If God uses people, is it possible that He will use some to rattle cages to challenge an overly tolerant, humanistic western society? I shall continue to pray for those challenges to happen everywhere, significantly, of course, here in Aotearoa/ New Zealand.
