Hahn s book explores the beauty of the Mass and helps Catholics reflect on the celebration of the Eucharist. Right to Life In the past, Wabash Valley Right to Life has placed a full page ad in the newspaper during the month of January on the anniversary of Roe V. Wade. This year, there will be instead at least four different Pro-Life billboards around town. The Wabash Valley Right to Life is asking for donations to help support the cost of the billboards. During the weekends of January 7/8, and January 14/15 there will be donations collected following Mass. Please show your support for the unborn! 5 Jerry s information corner CAR RAFFLE UPDATE! Last week's income was $3,030, for a grand total to date of $18,000. This allows us the needed funds to purchase the Ford Focus at a end of year savings to the parish and to the winner, who will be drawn at the 31st Annual Reverse Raffle at the Terre Haute Country Club, April 30th! Get your tickets in before the raffle and be eligible to win a new car! If you have tickets that you are not going to purchase or sell, please do not throw them away. 6 Reflections from Deacon Mike Stratman Life is Good As we begin a new year, it's been a tradition for some to make a new year's resolution. We try to lose weight and live a more healthier life style, work for more wealth and comfort, get that promotion at your job, find love and marriage, take more vacations and enjoy life and so on. These goals are all good things, but they're not the best. The best is loving God by getting to know Him, love Him and serve Him in this lifetime. That leads to the best possible life because it gives us satisfaction and joy now. That's why we should make time for God and enjoy His love that made you and me. It is the reason for our existence and the means by which we will make the most of our lives. It is good for us to draw near to God by putting our trust in the One who loves us like no other. And how do we draw close to Him? Here is a New Year's resolution; Take a few minutes each day and read some verses from the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John and note what Jesus said or did. Put yourself in the story and think about how much Jesus loves you and then thank Him. Some say, Life is good, just some days are better than others!! May you all have a blessed, safe and prosperous 2017!!
