Who can fathom it? Over and over in Scripture we read about His generous nature. He gives. He gave His Son. He supplies. Our God is truly a very generous God. God has shown His faithfulness and generosity to us here at SCC this past year! I want to share some things that God has been doing here lately: Increased attendance (nearing 300 on a weekly basis). Over 400 people came on Easter Sunday. We set a non-holiday attendance record of 328 on October 2. 7 baptisms so far in Over 800 people attended Fall Fest this past October. Blaze averaged students weekly and experienced 8 decisions for Christ and 13 rededication s as well as averaging 17 volunteers per week. 25 students attended the CIY Move event in TN this past summer. Our children s ministry continues to grow and develop. Our budget is growing. More and more people are attending Discover class. Our last class graduated 9 people. We have 6 Life Groups and plan to add 3 after the new year. More and more stories are emerging of how God is working through the people here at SCC within the community. Those are just some of the highlights. God has been truly generous and blessed us immeasurably. I praise Him for His goodness. When God s People Give: Continued... 2 We love all the wonderful things that you have donated so far for our shoebox fillers and funds! However, at this time, we are in great need of the following items. Could you help? Toothpaste, Sheets of stickers Rulers Scissors (blunt-tip), Coloring books (small) **Anyone interested in helping with Shoe Box Ministry please meet in building C on Nov. 9th, 9am to 12pm. Any questions may be directed to M.J. Anderson at Each November here at SCC we take up a special collection above and beyond our normal giving. These special offerings are generally meant for specific purposes or needs here on the campus of SCC. This year s special offering will be going towards Worship Center improvements/ enhancements in building A. Some of the improvements/enhancements we would like to accomplish this year include: LED (energy saving) lightbulbs for the entire room. These bulbs will help reduce our utility bill but also provide for a brighter room. Other lighting upgrades and aesthetic improvements. A new soundboard to replace our old board which is beginning to fail. Additional mics and replacing a few of our old, worn out mics. This year we have set a goal of $30,000. It s ambitious, but God is a big God. I am calling for and asking our Church family to pray and then consider giving to this special offering, not out of compulsion, but out of thanksgiving for what God is doing here. Here at SCC we believe and teach that God owns it all! We desire to honor God with EVERYTHING that He has given to us to manage. This offering is no exception. Please make this a matter of prayer and give as the Lord leads and directs you. We will be having our special offering on Sunday, November 22nd. I m so excited to see what God does with this offering through His people this year as we continue to boldly pursue our vision of seeing lives transformed for Jesus Christ! Kid Coast is open to those in Kindergarten - 5th grade. Join us on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7:00pm, Bldg C. Our new series is called "The New Normal". If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Christin Cole, ccole@sebastianchristian.org (Kid Coast and Blaze will NOT meet on November 22.) Discovery Cove (Sunday morning children's program) is always looking for volunteers. Please contact Christin Cole if you have a heart for children and would like to help during first or second service, once a month. --Christin Cole Please join us in helping Hosny and Marilyn Cazeau s Shining Light Mission to support children in Haiti by participating in our Christmas Hearts/Stars for Orphans fundraiser. Look for the tree in the lobby Sunday Nov. 1 with the heart/star ornaments. Each will have an envelope attached that you can make a monetary donation and insert a prayer/message for a child. Please make checks payable to Shining Light Mission and return the envelope in the box that will be under the tree by the end of December. Thank you!!

5 2015 Our annual fall festival was a HUGE hit! We doubled attendance from last year, with over 800 people on campus. We had 9 cars for our trunk or treat, 13 competitors for our first Chili cook-off, and countless volunteers throughout the afternoon. A few weeks ago we announced a goal of collecting 100 bags of candy, and our church family delivered! Our ending number was 121, and we ended with candy left over to donate to our children's department! We appreciate every single person who had a hand in making this fall festival our best ever!! Congratulations go out to Camille Work for winning our trunk&treat competition, and Linda Cyr as the winner of the chili cook-off!
