4 IT IS COUNTRY FAIR TIME!! Now through Wednesday Nov 14 th Country Fair means numerous things for our church: many, many people are very busy with all the preparations for the Turkey and Biscuit Luncheon, for the Basket Raffle, for the Bakery, the Cheese Shop, and we need you to help! You Can Help Make Our 64 th Country Fair a Great Success: *Sign up to help with kitchen or dining room duties (jobs continue through Wednesday) *Make something to sell in the Bakery cookies, bars, cakes, pies, candy, breads, gluten free or sugar free items, jams and jellies *Buy your Turkey and Biscuit luncheon tickets *Come to the Country Fair and Turkey and Biscuit Luncheon *Bring your friends to the Country Fair and Luncheon *Spread the word about the Country Fair See you at the Fair! Calling all bakers, candy makers, and jelly and jammers!!! The Country Fair Bakery needs your help to fill its tables with all of your goodies. Please! Get out your cook books, tie on your apron, and help us out. On Wednesday, November 14, Fair attendees will be here. They will be looking for cookies, pies, cakes, breads, candies, jams and jellies, pickles, snack foods like chex mix, individually wrapped treats and Christmas treats. Or your special something! It would be very helpful if you would bag or plate your goodies. Some larger groupings, some smaller. Please do NOT price them. Bakery items can be left in the Burr Oak Room, or with Tammy, any time on Tuesday, November 13, or BEFORE 8:00 am on Wednesday, Fair Day. Thank you for your support of the 64 th annual Country Fair. COUNTRY FAIR BASKET RAFFLE STARTS TODAY!! GIFT BASKETS AND FRAMED PHOTOGRAPHY Raffle Tickets will be available for purchase TODAY! They will also be available at the Country Fair, and the day of the Basket and Photograph drawing on Sunday, November 18. You are able to choose from 20 BASKETS and FOUR of Bob Buell's Framed Photographs. Raffle Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. Look through all of the photographs and the baskets and choose those that you would like to win...maybe you will find one you would like to give as gift...to a friend, a co-worker, or an employee? Thank you for making this another successful Raffle for the Fair! A very special thanks to everyone who has donated for this raffle and thank you so much to all who support our Country Fair and this raffle. During the weeks in November, Outreach Ministries will be doing a collection for our Food Pantry. You may support our Food Pantry through a financial donation, food items donation, or by staffing the Food Pantry during January/July. 6 PLEDGE UPDATE Pledges Received as of November 5th: 95 Totaling: $156,482 Pledge Goal: $200,000 Thank you so much for your generosity. The Time and Talent Forms indicate that our congregation will again work hard to achieve our mission of worship, prayer, study, fellowship, outreach, spiritual nourishment and growth. If you have not returned your Pledge Card and Time and Talent Form, it is not too late! A special thanks to those who have expressed interest in serving on council or joining a new ministry. Little is much when God is in it! Prayer Quilt This morning we dedicate a Prayer Quilt for Brian Beilke. Brian, aged 28, lives in Sun Prairie and enjoys fishing on his boat, playing with his dog, Marley, and loves playing with his niece, Aubrey, and nephew, Landon. Brian is the son of Jack and Renee (Hetts) and has numerous ties to our Family of Faith. He is the Grandson of Barbara Beilke, a life-long member of our church, the Great-Grandson of Eva Hageman, a member, pianist, and organist in our church, and the Nephew of Roy and Karen Hetts. Brian has been diagnosed with cancer. Brian asks your prayers for Wisdom for Doctors Strength for Family Healing for Brian After Worship you are invited to tie your prayers for Brian into his quilt as you ask God to remain close to Brian and all those who love him.
