3 Deepening Our Faith The Canaanite woman of today s Gospel, desperate for the healing of her daughter, breaks through social and political barriers, even challenging Jesus as she seeks relief for her child. By responding to her faith, Jesus shows us how his mission to the world continues to become broader and wider in its outreach to the world. As we listen to God s holy word today, let us examine the boundaries that we set, and listen for God s challenge to us to break them down. Questions of the Week: How patient is my prayer, how undaunted my confidence in Jesus personal love for me? How do I treat those who pester me for a share of my time, attention, and love? Crecimiento en la Fé La mujer cananea del Evangelio de hoy, desesperada porque su hija se cure, rompe con todas las barreras sociales y políticas, y hasta desafía al mismo Jesús con la esperanza de encontrar socorro para su hija. Jesús, al responder a la fe de esta mujer, nos muestra cómo su misión sigue haciéndose más ancha y más amplia en el mundo. Cuando escuchemos hoy la palabra Sagrada de Dios, examinémonos para ver cuáles son las barreras que nosotros levantamos y pongamos atención a los desafíos que Dios nos hace para que las derribemos.
