Church windows were fixed, caulked with silicone and painted by Zeljko Dudas Art Deco Carpentry & Cabinetry from Yorkton (David Pshyk from Canora painted the windows from the inside) in July Future projects: church furnaces, hall furnaces, hall floor etc Our Parish Hall was flooded on Friday, February 13, A huge damage was made to the ceiling and the floors. We have to replace the tiles with a commercial linoleum (the old tiles are asbestos tiles and they come off). We had to fix the plumbing, electrical fixtures and to paint the ceiling etc. Richard Stefanyshyn from Prince Albert was hired to replace our hall flooring. Perogy Bee: We need more men and women to help with the perogy production. Canora UCWL will celebrate 70 th Anniversary in Religious articles & cards: call Pat Marchinko ( ). Jeffrey Stephaniuk were the celebrants. The church building is sold. 11 FINAL CHAPTER The former members of the church would like to thank the community for its support over the last 66 years. We would also like to thank Most Rev. Bishop Bryan Bayda CSsR, Very Rev. Joakim Rac and the other Eparchial Consultors, Marusia Kobrynsky and Adrian Olenick, for their support and cooperation, allowing us to give back to the community the majority of funds. Much of the kitchen and hall material was donated back to the local clubs, Arena association, Sports Grounds, Community Hall, Hospital and Nursing Home. Religious items went to other parishes. Proceeds from the sale of the church property: Ukr. Cath. Eparchy of Saskatoon 10% $ 7,600 Porcupine Carragana Hospital 25% $ 19,000 Porcupine Nursing Home 25% $ 19,000 Chelan Hillcrest Cemetery 15% $ 11,400 High Tor Ukr. Catholic Cemetery 5% $ 3,800 Canora St. Peter and Paul Rectory 10% $ 7,600 Ukr. Cath. Camp (Madge Lake) 10% $ 7,600 Total: $ 76,000 There are new facilities built at St. Michael s Camp, Madge Lake. Many of the other religious items from the church went there as well. This will help to preserve the Ukrainian Catholic faith, along with our rich culture and traditions. God bless all.
