Donovan for information prior to the birth of the child. For adults, again contact the respective administrator for the RCIA program. Marriage Arrangements must be made at least six months in advance with Msgr Putano or Fr. Donovan. One of the parties must be registered in the parish. Hospitalized Please notify the parish office when a family member is in the hospital. Very often we do not receive this information. Anointing of the Sick If you are preparing to enter the hospital for any reason and would like to be anointed, please contact the parish offices. Low Gluten hosts are available for anyone who is gluten intolerant. Please stop in the sacristy before Mass to let us know. Bulletin available on either parish website.

3 OUR PARISHES & PASTORAL CARE AREA Encounter Christ and His love and mercy this Lent through Discovering Christ, a seven week experience Monday evenings from 6:00 8:30 pm March 6 April 17 at St. Patrick s Hall. Participants will experience a welcoming setting, a wonderful three course meal beautifully served, a thoughtful half hour video and an opportunity for socializing in small group discussion along with relaxed, joyful music of praise and worship. All 18 and over are welcome. Special retreat on Saturday, April 8 th. There is no charge. Fish Dinners To support the Homeless Project of the Southern Tier (Mobile Van offering soup, hot chocolate, socks and gloves Mobile Showers for the Homeless and those in need). To be held on the Fridays of Lent March 3 April 7 from 4:00 6:30 pm at St. Patrick s Church Hall, corner of Leroy and Oak St, Binghamton. Cost: Adults $8.00 Children - $5.00 (includes fish, cole slaw, macaroni and cheese, dessert, drink). Take outs available. Call in advance to help us plan for this event We can also include - (Pirogi s available add $1.00 each; Clam Chowder available - $2.00 cup). Socks Personal Care Items for the Spring Season! Along with your Lenten Sharing this year, there continues to be a need for NEW SOCKS - all sizes and kinds but also personal care items for the needy in our area. Our parishes will collect socks and personal care items throughout the Lenten Season to distribute to those in need at our Pantries, Soup Kitchens, Sandwich Ministries and Mobile Van. Socks Personal Care containers are at the entrances. Thank you! Butter Lambs: The Holy Trinity Altar Rosary Society is accepting orders for hand-crafted butter lambs for Easter. The cost of each is $3.50. Please fill out the form below and drop it in the collection basket by March 12. Pay with your order or at the time of pick-up on Saturday, April 8th (10am at the Parking Lot entrance) or before or after Mass on Sunday, April 9. You may also call Marie at to order. If you would like to donate salted butter for this project, please drop it off at the church on March 5. We greatly appreciated all the donations of baked goods for the Cake Wheel and for the 37 beautiful baskets we raffled. Thanks to all who attended, to the cooking and set-up crews, to the cupcake icers, to those who worked at the event, but especially to all who pitched in to help with clean-up! It was a wonderful afternoon because of wonderful people! The Passion and Love of Christ: A Lenten Day Of Recollection will be held on Sunday, March 12th from 10:15 Liturgy (Rosary at 9:45) 3:30 hosted by St. Cyril s Altar Rosary Society. The day will include the Rosary, Mass, the presentation by Sr. Bridgid O Mahoney and a luncheon (cost is $12 per person). All are invited to join together and reflect on what the Passion and Love of Christ call each of us to do. 4 Important Religious Education Anouncement: there will be a MANDATORY 10-minute Parent Meeting at 11:15 am on Sunday, March 5th in the Religious Education Center at SS. Cyril & Method. Students will begin class in their classrooms at the regularly scheduled 11:15 am time, and the parent meeting will occur simultaneously in the main area outside of the classrooms. Please make every effort to attend this important mid-year meeting. RISE: Annual Day of Renewal for Separated and Divorced will be held on Saturday March 18 th, 2017 at Christ the King Retreat Center, 500 Brookford Road in Syracuse NY. Father Michael Galuppi will deliver an uplifting keynote. Empowering workshops and small group sharing will equip you to rise above the issues encountered through separation and divorce. Workshops include: Helping Our Children, Healing Commitments, Creating a Tavoli of Your Life, Up, Up & Away and more. Registration is $45. Scholarships are available. Almost 8,000 men have attended the previous conferences and we are looking to make sure 2017 breaks the 9,000 mark! You can be part of it on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the SRC Arena & Event Center in Syracuse for an amazing day that will have a tremendous impact on you. Prayer Partners for our First Communion Students Our wonderful second grade students will be receiving their First Holy Communion on Sunday, May 21 and they need your prayers! We are looking for prayer partners for Elise Cruz, John Farrell, Adam Golasinski, Grace Harkness, Max Harkness and Gabriel Snell as they continue their sacramental journey. All prayers are encouraged and welcomed, and if you would like to be a prayer partner for a specific student, please contact our Catechetical Leader, Andrea Carey at acarey@syrdio.org and ext Ethnic Dinner Sunday, March 26th St. Cyril s will host an Ethnic Dinner from 11:30 2:30 on Sunday, March 26th in the Parish Center. The menu includes Halupki, Pierogi, Kielbasa, Haluski and Homemade Desserts. There will also be hot dogs available for the children! Cost is $12 for adults and $4 for children (ages 5 12). Once again we are asking for donations of dessert items for this dinner. Please consider baking and bring your donated items to the Parish Center on Saturday (3/25 from 9 Noon) or on Sunday morning (by 10 am). Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl is a Lenten faith in action program. It offers daily opportunities for your family to engage in the spiritual pillars of Lent: prayer, fasting & almsgiving. It is also an opportunity for our parish to come together as a community and reflect on what it means to live out the Gospel call to go to the margins and encounter those most in need.
