RCIA/Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults: Those interested in learning about becoming a member of the Catholic Faith contact Parish Office, Sponsors Sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation are required to provide a certificate of eligibility if they are not a member of our Partner Parish. To be a sponsor, you must be Baptized and Confirmed. Any parishioner needing a certificate of eligibility to be a sponsor for another parish is required to personally visit the Pastoral Center to obtain a certificate at our office during business hours. Laetare Sunday is the fourth Sunday in the season of Lent, in the Western Christian liturgical calendar. Traditionally, this Sunday has been a day of celebration, within the austere period of Lent. This Sunday gets its name from the first few words (incipit) of the traditional Latin entrance (Introit) for the Mass of the day. "Laetare Jerusalem" ("Rejoice, O Jerusalem") is Latin from Isaiah 66:10. The term "Laetare Sunday" is used by most Roman Catholic and Anglican churches, particularly those with Latin liturgical traditions. The word comes from the Latin laetare, the singular imperative of laetari: "to rejoice". The full Introit reads: "Lætare Jerusalem: et conventum facite omnes qui diligitis eam: gaudete cum lætitia, qui in tristitia fuistis: ut exsultetis, et satiemini ab uberibus consolationis vestræ. Psalm: Lætatus sum in his quæ dicta sunt mihi: in domum Domini ibimus." "Rejoice, O Jerusalem: and come together all you that love her: rejoice with joy, you that have been in sorrow: that you may exult and be filled from the breasts of your consolation. Psalm: I rejoiced when they said to me: 'we shall go into God's House!'"

The trip will be September 16 29, A few highlights will be: an audience with Pope Francis, Ancient Rome, Bethlehem, boat ride across The Sea of Galilee, Mass everyday in various Churches and Grottos, and much, much more. There will be a light social following the service in St. Joseph Hall. Join the Partner Parishes of St. John's and St. Joe's for a trip to see Jesus at the Sight and Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA on July 19th, Cost is $115 for adults and $75 for kids and includes lunch, the show and the bus. In order to get ready for Spring and the grass cutting, we are asking that all cemetery decorations be removed from the cemetery by as soon as possible Are you looking for service hours? Do you like to help your community? The Partner Parish Youth Group will be cleaning the cemeteries on March 30th & April 6th. We will start at St. Joseph s at 10am on March 30th & then clean over to St. John s on April 6th at 10am. Please come join us to make our cemeteries as beautiful as we can for the Easter Season! Relic pilgrimage of St. Jean Vianney at Our Lady of Grace Parish April 17 The national relic pilgrimage of St. Jean Vianney s incorrupt heart, sponsored by the Knights of Columbus, will be at Our Lady of Grace Parish, Greensburg, April 17.
