Sacrament of Baptism Parents/legal guardians are to contact the office early to arrange sacramental instruction. Upon completion of the preparation program and the requisite paperwork, a date for the celebration of the sacrament will be scheduled. Sacrament of Marriage Prospective Brides & Grooms: If you are thinking about marriage in the next 9-12 months, it is time to make an appointment with the Priest. If you have already met with the Priest & need to register for Engaged Encounter or a Diocesan Pre-Cana, go to mht-poconos.org and click the Sacraments tab. Mark 4:26 34 It is the smallest of all seeds, and becomes the largest of plants. As we approach the first day of summer, we hear readings today that are set in nature. Ezekiel has a vision of God cutting a tender shoot from the top of a cedar and planting it on a lofty mountain where it grows into a majestic tree. Mark relates two of Jesus parables involving sowing seeds, one being the tiny mustard seed, which grows into a shady, hearty plant. As we listen to today s readings, may the Lord s word take root in us. 3 Campaign News Have you made your commitment yet? Starting Goal: $2,000,000 Advantage Goal: $2,500,000 Miracle Goal: $4,000,000 This is an exciting, yet challenging, time for our parish as we come together to accomplish an important project through our prayers and sacrifices. We realize that by uniting our efforts our faith will be strengthened and the good of our parish advanced. There is much to be thankful for and yet we know that much work still lies ahead. So let s continue the momentum that has already begun. Let s pray for the ongoing success of our Campaign. May our hearts be open to hear the Lord s call and further the mission entrusted to us of building the Kingdom, building the Parish, and building our home. Every family is being asked to do their part. Show your love for God and for our parish. Help us to realize our dream by responding today. Thank you to those that have Responded! We are thankful for the generosity of the 151 families who have made a commitment to our parish and our Capital Campaign. We need all remaining families to participate as well. Please be sure to respond as soon as you are able so that we may continue the momentum that this campaign has already achieved The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit. - Acts 13:52 Because the disciples heard Our Lord s call, they were able to spread the Gospel message with strength and vitality. We, too, can experience that same joy if we take time to open our hearts, listen to God, ask for His direction and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our lives and our decisions.

4 Parish Events Tuesday August 7, 2018 We have reserved tickets for a new production, Jesus! The bus will depart Cresco on Tuesday, August 7th at 7:30am and return by 6:30pm after a luncheon at Shady Maples. The cost will be the same as last trip: $ for adults $76.00 for children (12 & under). All expenses are included for the show, bus and smorgasbord luncheon. Registry by July 1st. Please watch for our tree to go back up with tags that will list what we need. The tags will list if the backpack should be for a boy or a girl and what to include in it. Again, we will be looking for you to provide both the backpack and the stationery items to go into it.
