Restrooms are located down the main hall turning to the left. A baby changing table is available in the handicap accessible restroom. Name tags can be found on the clipboards in the pews. Assisted listening devices, large print hymnals and large-print bulletins are available. Ask an usher for assistance. A nursery with professional care is offered as an option for our children newborn through age four (located downstairs). The flowers on the Altar are given to the glory of God and in memory of John A. Robins and Nancy Robins Lindsey on their March birthdays by Erma Robins. The rosebud on the Altar is placed to the glory of God and in honor of Caroline Kate Beydler, who was born on February 23, Her parents are Mary Helen and Jason, and her maternal grandparents are Hugh and Judy Miles. ANNOUNCEMENTS Our Ash Wednesday Community Dinner is March 5 and is served from 5:30-6:15 p.m. Prices: $5 for adults and $3 for children. This week s dinner includes: fried cabbage, potatoes, green beans, triple succotash and cornbread. Sign up today on the clipboard. Remember to invite someone to dinner this week. Our guests eat free! The season of Lent is a period of 40 days before Easter. It is a time of personal self-reflection and thinking about Jesus journey to the cross. Ash Wednesday is the traditional beginning of Lent. This Wednesday, we will observe this holy day with a service that begins at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary. The service will include the imposition of ashes on our foreheads (burned from last year s Palm Sunday branches thank you, Bill Steele!) as a sign of our mortality and repentance. Branches Buddies is asking for donations of non-chocolate candy to go into the plastic Easter eggs that will be going down to South Florida for Branches. A collection bin will be on the 2nd floor outside the elevator and the deadline will be March 16. Your help will be appreciated. The Chesterfield Ruritan Club will have Lt. R. Jason Elmore from Chesterfield Fire and EMS as their guest speaker on March 17, in the social hall. He will speak on Jump From One Fire Into Another. If you are in 5 th -8 th grade, you can go on a weekend retreat with the Cross Trainers youth group to Goshen, Virginia. This retreat center is a middle schooler s dream land. Go to to check it out. The theme for this year is mirrors. This theme is all about identity, which is such a vital subject when it comes to middle school students. We will look at different types of mirrors to see how we view ourselves and then talk about the
