Nixon Lowe offered a meditation on how he wa firt introduced to All Saint and how it ha been a ource of trength to her through life challenge. The vetry approved the creation of the Planned Giving Committee, Worhip Committee, and Block Planning Steering Committee. Staff member reported on progre on action item for the firt quarter of the Strategic Plan. Charlie Ogburn and Nancy Dodon reported that our financial condition remain better than budget for the year to date, and the loan to acquire the remainder of the block ha been fully repaid. Intead, thi coure give u an opportunity to more cloely examine the Old Tetament/ Hebrew Bible, and to dicover how thoe text can help u grow cloer to God during the eaon of Advent. Dr. Bailey ha lectured and preached at univeritie and churche on 5 continent. He i the author of one book and numerou article on the Hebrew Bible and editor/coeditor of five book on racial/ethnic biblical interpretation. He concentrate on the relationhip of Ancient Africa and the Hebrew Bible and pecialize in ideological criticim, epecially a regard the point of interection of race/ethnicity, gender, cla, ex, exual orientation and power in the biblical text. He i a community activit who often argue againt oppreive theological poition and oppreive biblical text regarding ocial matter. Dr. Bailey i married to M. D. Jean Lewi Bailey, a retired librarian with the DeKalb County Board of Education, and they have two adult children, Omari and Imani.
