Welcome Our New Pastor A special Welcome to our Pastor, Father Konka, who joined us here at Sts. Peter and Paul on July 1, Father Konka will also serve St. Anthony s and St. Joseph Churches. Bishop Joseph Hanefeldt will be present at the 10:00 a.m. Mass next Sunday for the official Installation of Father Konka. There will be a lite reception next Sunday, August 23 rd following the Mass in the Gathering area of the Church and everyone is invited to stay and welcome Father Konka. Reorganizational Meeting St. Paul Knights of Columbus Council 1918 will hold a reorganizational meeting on Wednesday, August 26 th at 7:00 p.m. in the Church Meeting Room. 4 Masses Needed Father Konka is scheduling daily Masses which gives us openings for more masses. If you would like to have a Mass offered please call Marie at the Church Office or drop your offering with the name of the person you would like the Mass said for and your name. Please designate Mass Stipend on your envelope. The norm for Diocese is $10 per Mass. NOTE OF THANKS A special note of thanks to the Tin Man Air Boats and River Rats for their very generous donation to the Ministerial Association. The Ministerial association is set up to help those most in need in desperate times with gas vouchers or whatever the need might be. The Association is supported by donations from all the area churches. Thank you again. The behind the scene workers. Thank you to our dedicated bulletin folders who come faithfully every Friday to fold bulletins. They are a wonderful group and seem to have a great time afterward just having coffee and and visiting! Clarence & Ernestine Schmidt Bill & Edith Payne Virginia Hirschman Leo Stenka Carol Shuda Pat Knutson Week of Prayer Announced August Event to Focus on Ending the Evils of Planned Parenthood In response to recently released undercover videos from The Center for Medical Progress exposing the inhuman and potentially illegal actions of Planned Parenthood employees harvesting and selling the body parts of aborted babies, a coalition of religious and prolife groups is sponsoring a Week of Prayer to End the Evils of Planned Parenthood, beginning with the National Day of Protest on August 22, 2015 at Planned Parenthood Facilities across the U.S. At several prayers have been posted to utilize during this week. These prayers include the intentions of repentance for our nation, an end to the killing of children and the selling of their body parts, healing for those wounded by abortion, conversion of abortionists, and strength and perseverance for pro-life activists. Those who are participating are asked to sign up on the form at Ann Rief, Pro-Life Coordinator Prayer for All Needs We beg you, Lord, to help and defend us. Deliver the oppressed. Pity the insignificant. Raise the fallen. Show yourself to the needy. Heal the sick. Bring back those of your people who have gone astray. Feed the hungry. Lift up the weak. Take off the prisoner s chains. May every nation come to know that you alone are God, that Jesus is your Child, that we are your people, the sheep that you pasture. Amen
