Motherhood is the gift of God to women. How grateful we must be to God for this wonderful gift that brings such joy to the whole world, women and men alike! Yet we can destroy this gift of motherhood, especially by the evil of abortion, but also by thinking that other things like jobs or positions are more important than loving, than giving oneself to others. No job, no plans, no possessions, no idea of freedom can take the place of love. So anything that destroys God s gift of motherhood destroys His most precious gift to women the ability to love as a woman. Lenten Season Sacred Heart Parish Holy Week at Sacred Heart Holy Thursday - Mass at 7pm Good Friday Service - 7pm Holy Saturday (Easter Vigil) - 7:30pm Easter Sunday - Mass at 8am and 11am DIVINE MERCY MOMENT A Day of Extraordinary Grace Jesus promised that on Divine Mercy Sunday (April 8) His Mercy would be overflowing to those who would ask for it. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL MINUTE Today is Palm Sunday and the beginning of the holiest of Christian weeks. Let us pray for the grace to take up our own cross and to follow Jesus through death to new life. During Lent, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to bring the mercy of Jesus into the hearts of the poor, by assisting families, providing in food, in gifts, and for utility and rent bills. Jesus told St. Faustina: My daughter, tell the whole world about My inconceivable Mercy. I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for all sinners. On that day, the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My Mercy (Diary, 699). Jesus declared: The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day, all the Divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet (Diary, 699).

On Wednesday, April 25, 2018, the Respect Life Ministry will be hosting 2 tables at the 13 th annual Visitation House benefit dinner held at St. George s Orthodox Cathedral Church Hall on 30 Anna St. (off of Lake Ave.) Worcester. Social time is 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Silent Auction will open at 5:30 pm and will close at 7:30 pm. You are invited to visit the table while enjoying the appetizers. Dinner will be at 6:30 pm The Keynote speaker will be Chris Slattery. Chris launched Expectant Mother Care Center (EMC Frontline Pregnancy Centers) in mid-town Manhattan in 1985, NYC s first crisis pregnancy center, leaving behind a 13 year advertising career. Chris s organization is now in its 33 rd year, and is today the largest and busiest network of pregnancy help centers in NYC. Come hear his story! The Scouts are celebrating 100 years of scouting. A Lithuanian dinner and a chicken dinner will be served from 12:30 p.m. There will be vendors present. The youngsters from the Lithuanian School will provide entertainment. Everyone is invited for an afternoon of fun. REGIONAL EVENTS/NEWS WORLDWIDE MARRIAGE ENCOUNTER Morning after morning he opens my ear that I may hear. As we celebrate Palm Sunday, let us keep our ears open to the love from our spouses and God by attending a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend.
