Our Annual Evangelization Parish & Neighborhood Picnic Saturday August 18th 2018 From 5-7:30pm Last year, due to the generosity of parishioners, we were able to have the picnic at No Cost to the parish. In order that we don't have an abundance of any one item, we will once again be purchasing what we need. Any assistance therefore that you could offer to us by way of a Gift Card to Price Chopper would be greatly appreciated. There will also be a need for assistance the day of the picnic in various areas. Sign up sheets will be available at Masses at the hospitality tables at the entrance to the church, or simply call the rectory and we can sign you up. ST. VINCENT DE PAUL MINUTE To all who have helped make the neighborhood gatherings so successful the past few years, WE THANK YOU! It couldn't happen without all of you. Please help us pray for another successful gathering with our parish family and neighbors! In today s Gospel the people ask : How is it such miraculous deeds are accomplished by his hands? Because of your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul many miraculous deeds are accomplished for the poor. This week put a gift in the St. Vincent de Paul poor box, knowing that through your kindness someone who is suffering will be touched by God in a miraculous way. DIVINE MERCY MOMENT A prayer of St. Faustina: "Help me, O Lord, that my eyes may be merciful so that I may never suspect or judge from appearances but look for what is beautiful in my neighbors' souls and come to their rescue". "Help me, that my ears may be merciful, so that I may give heed to my neighbor's needs and not be indifferent to their pains and moanings". "Help me, O Lord, that my tongue may be merciful so that I should never speak negatively of my neighbor, but have a word of comfort and forgiveness for all". (Diary 163) The Divine Mercy chaplet is prayed every Sunday after the 6pm Mass before the Divine Mercy image. BERNADETTE CIRCLE JULY MEETING Bernadette Circle No. 709, Webster, MA, will hold its July meeting on Tuesday, July 10th, at the Parish Hall on Day Street. The meeting will begin at 6 p.m., followed by an Ice-Cream Social. Committee for the Social are as follows: Louise Ravenelle, Margaret Duquette, Janet Caouette, and Carol McMahon. During the meeting drawing tickets will be distributed to members to take home to sell. Additionally, the Annual Charity Drawing tickets will be sold at Sacred Heart Church on the weekend of July 7th and 8th. Finally, the July Bus Trip is Foster's Lobster Lake in Maine on Sunday, July 22nd - tickets are still available for this trip. Thank you for your continued support!

He gives us the resources we need to do His work. However, do we listen to God when He calls? Do we get up on our feet and use our talent to do the work He asks of us? Remember, God doesn t call the equipped, he equips the called. DIOCESAN EVENTS/NEWS LIGHT OF EDUCATION FOUNDATION NIGHT IN STURBRIDGE Join us Thursday, July 12 at 6:30 pm, at St Anne-St Patrick Parish, St Joachim Chapel, 16 Church Street, Fiskdale for an introduction, discussion and video of a day in the life of a child in Haiti to be presented by a new committee from St Anne s Parish supporting the Light of Education Foundation. Admission is free. The guest speaker is Magalie Olivier, Foundation Director. The Light of Education Foundation is a non-profit organization founded and headed by Fr. Stanley Rousseau of Haiti. It provides education and personal development for the underprivileged children of Savanne du Bois, Margiot, Haiti through the building of a fledgling school.
