Note: There is a change to the schedule at St Henry Campus: Religious Ed for preschool through Grade 8 will be held Sunday mornings 8:30-9:30 AM; Religious Ed for all students from St Henry and St Ferdinand grades 9 through 12 be held at the St Ferdinand campus in the Spiritual Life Center 7:30 8:30 PM. Anna Bickwemert Robert Hoppenjans Betti Kempf TEENS ENCOUNTER CHRIST TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) is a three-day experience for young people who are searching for goals, acceptance, meaning, and for community. Adults are also welcome and encouraged to attend as they increase our witness to our faith while experiencing their own encounter with Christ. Candidates can expect to meet others from all areas of the Diocese, find how God fits in your life, and encounter the Risen Jesus Christ. You will have time to reflect on your life, ideas, hopes, and dreams, away from home, school, and/or work. You can find an application and more information The next weekend is July 21-23, 2018 at St. Mary s Church in Ireland. Future retreat weekends are scheduled for November 10-12, 2018 and February 16-18, Feel free to send in applications for any of the weekends, but please know that they may fill quickly, so send in your application soon. ROSARY PRAYER SERVICE TO CELEBRATE OUR COUNTRY'S INDEPENDENCE On Sunday, July 1st, at 6 PM at St. Henry Church, we will have a special prayer service in gratitude for our country's independence. Let us join together in seeking our Blessed Mother's intercession, asking God's continued graces and protection on our country, and in thanksgiving to those who have fought to preserve those freedoms our forefathers endorsed in the U.S. Declaration of Independence. Members of the Ferdinand American Legion Post #124 and Color Guard will be present. CHILDREN S CHOIR The Children's Choir will be singing June 24th at 10 AM Mass. We will meet in the SLC chapel at 9 AM to practice before Mass. 4 ST. HENRY ANNUAL OUTDOOR MASS It has become a tradition at St. Henry to celebrate on Outdoor Mass close to the feast of St. Henry (July 13) in thanksgiving for his patronage and the strong faith community we share. On Sunday, July 15th, at 10 AM there will be a Mass celebrated in the park area on St. Henry grounds, west of the cemetery. Everyone is invited to join us for Mass, and then a pot-luck lunch. The attached reservation slip should be placed in the collection basket or returned to the Spiritual Life Center by Sunday, July 8th. Some chairs and picnic tables will be available, or bring your lawn chairs for Mass. In the event of rain or extremely hot weather, Mass will be celebrated in St. Henry Church followed by the pot-luck lunch in the St. Henry CK of A Hall. Bring a covered dish to share. UPCOMING PRE-BAPTISM SESSIONS The next Pre-Baptism Session is June 24 th after the 10 AM Mass in the Spiritual Life Center. In order to have your first baby Baptized, you must attend one of these sessions. To register, please contact the Parish Office at Baptisms are not done during Advent and Lent. WEDDINGS When planning your wedding, checking for church availability should be your first step. Contact Jane at the Parish Office to reserve your special day. After the date is okay d with Fr. Jack and the non-refundable deposit has been received, the date will then be put into the books.
