COACHES, PLAYERS SOUGHT FOR CYO BOYS HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL LEAGUE The diocese is looking for coaches and players for a CYO high school boys basketball league. The league is open to Diocese of Greensburg parishioners in grades 9-12 who meet eligibility requirements. The season will run from January through the CYO state tournament in March. Melchizedek Project vocations discernment sessions for young men, adults The Melchizedek Project evening for young men to discern a vocation to the priesthood will be held Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the rectory at Holy Family Parish, Latrobe. Christmas Mass at Night Please note that the Christmas Mass at Night will be celebrated at 10 p.m. The Vigil Mass at 5 p.m. will be preceded by the Children s Program at 4:30 p.m. On Christmas Day, Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Please read below to see how you and your children can help to enhance our liturgies at Holy Cross this Christmas: CHILDREN S CHRISTMAS EVE PROGRAM and Mass If your child would like to participate in the annual Christmas Eve program and Mass this year, we need their help! Children may participate in many ways. Angels and other Nativity characters, as well as choir members and readers, are all needed. Please contact Alison Gray, Brian Lohr or the parish office if your child is interested. The initial meeting will be held on Dec. 2 after the 10 a.m. Mass to assign roles and determine the practice schedule It s not too late to join the choir and learn new ways to sing your favorite Christmas Carols. Choir meets every Thursday from 6-7 p.m. in the church. Male and female voices are all welcome. Come, join us for Christmas! And then stay with us as we praise God in song throughout the year! LITURGICAL MINISTERS: Sign up sheets are in the sacristy for those who are available to serve as Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Servers for the Christmas and New Year liturgies. WESTMORELAND MANOR VOLUNTEERS Volunteers are needed to help residents to and from Mass at Westmoreland Manor on Sun., Dec. 9. Mass begins at 10:30 a.m. Please be at the Manor by 9:30 a.m. Paper goods may be dropped off at the church entrances every weekend. There is not always room in the bulletin to highlight this project. So please remember that these donations are welcome at any time. Your ongoing support of the Youngwood Food Pantry is always appreciated.
