1 Dear Friends, It is hard to believe that August is already here! By the time you are reading this newsletter, I am in Poland. I will return to Detroit on August 2. I will share some pictures of the trip in the newsletter next month. Just as in July, there are not many things happening at St. John s Deaf Center or Our Lady of Loretto s this month. However, we will have a picnic on August 27 in Northville. We will have Mass at the picnic at 4PM. There is a deaf family who moved to Detroit from Iraq several months ago because of many problems in their home country. At their new home, they lack many things. If you have a dresser, headboard for a twin size bed, or other furniture in your basement but you have not used them for a while, then can you kindly donate them to this family?
