Sayer for an appointment Marriage Preparation: Call the parish office at least six months prior to the wedding to schedule an appointment with the Pastor. Pastoral Care: Holy Communion may be received at home, in a nursing home or in the hospital. If you find yourself unable to attend Mass and want to receive Communion, either you or an immediate family member may call the office to make the necessary arrangements. Anointing of the Sick: Anyone in danger of death from a serious illness, an emergency situation or from advanced age ought to receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick. If you know, in advance, that you will be entering the hospital for a procedure, it is preferred that you receive the Anointing prior to entering the hospital. To arrange the reception of the Sacrament, please call Fr. Bob s Emergency phone number. We must hear from you or a family member if you would like to be visited by someone. Please call the office with the necessary information and our pastor will be alerted. ASSISTANCE MINISTRY If you or someone you know needs meals provided or transportation to and from doctor appointments or therapy appointments please call Donna Cone at or the Parish Office at to arrange for assistance. Our goal this year is to provide Thanksgiving meal to approximately 180 families. Please help us reach this goal by filling the grocery bag provided with the canned/boxed food items listed on each bag. (Note: Please do not substitute or add items. ) McCormick Helping Hands United will be adding canned hams to each filled bag to complete this Thanksgiving meal. We will participate, as a parish, in the diocese count of Rosaries for Life. If you recite a rosary during this time for any life issue, please be counted on our "Make your Mark" chart in the church Narthex. One "x" = one rosary. (Last year's rosary campaign totaled 639.) Sunday, Oct. 4: McCormick National Life Chain - Please join us, along with those from across America and Canada, as we stand for Life for one hour of silent prayer for the dignity of Life from 2 to 3 p.m. on the corner of Hwy 28 & 378. National Life Chain approved signs will be available at 1:45. Weekend of Oct. 3/4: Our Blessed Mother's Rosary Recipe cards will be distributed after all the Masses in honor Our Lady of the Rosary. Wed. Oct. 7th: Our Lady of the Rosary Feast Day: After the 9 a.m. Mass, please join us to recite the Rosary in our Rosary Garden followed by a simple gathering in the hall for coffee and breakfast pastries. Oct. 23/24 & Oct. 31/Nov.1: Parish Baby Shower for Greenwood's Crossroad Crisis Pregnancy Center. (to honor our Spiritually Adopted Babies) A big box will be available in the Narthex for donated baby items. The center is in need of diapers (sizes 3,4 & 5); baby shampoo, lotions and wash; socks; undershirts (infant to 2 yrs old) and onies. Any baby donation will be greatly appreciated.
