2 St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Dear Friends, I am happy to announce that we have two new leaders of our religious education program, i.e. CCD. They are Ann Dziokonski as Director and John O Malley as Co-Director. They began meeting with the students, teachers and parents this past weekend. They will do a very good job since they have been a part of our CCD program for many years already. Many fine people from the parish and CCD showed interest in these positions and they would have likely done a very good job. We are grateful for their applying for this ministry. We thank Maryanne Kennedy for all the good she did while she was the director of our CCD program. We thank also Andrew Tivnan and Mary Pat Heelan for the building and strengthening of the religious education program of our parish youth over the years. Foremost among the spiritual educators of our youth are you, their parents, and older brothers and sisters. Our children look to you more than anyone. A Catholic Approach To End Of Life Decisions Senior citizens and those who support or care for them are encouraged to come to Annunciation Parish on Saturday, November 17 at 1:30 p.m. in the hall at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church, 135 Nichols St., Gardner for a presentation by Kris Correira, PA-C, MHP, which will explain the Catholic approach towards end of life decision making, and the best form to use to insure that your wishes for your physical and spiritual care are followed. Kris is a physician assistant with 25 years of experience working in emergency medicine and family practice. She is also a bioethicist certified through the National Catholic Bioethics Center. Pray for Priests On the bulletin tables are monthly lists of priests of our diocese. Please pray not only for them but also for our seminarians. Thank you to the 8th grade level and to all their teachers. Thank you to Phil Gates for his truck and to all others who helped out. Music for All Souls Thursday, November 15th at 7:30pm Please join us as we begin the fourth season of our Sacred Music Series with a special Thursday night presentation on November 15th at 7:30pm. Nationally renowned Catholic musician Michael Olbash will be joined by our music director Marc DeMille in presenting our second annual Music for All Souls program. Featuring hymns, chants, psalms, vocal and organ solos, it is intended to be an hour of musical prayer for the souls of our beloved deceased, and there will be an opportunity to add the name of a loved one whom you've lost to a list that will be read that evening. As always, admission is free and families are welcome. Donations will be accepted at the door to benefit the parish and the musicians. We hope to see you for what promises to be a beautiful evening.

3 Thirty-First Sunday in Ordinary Time Annual Coats for Kids Drive Clinton Council #1701 of the Knights of Columbus will be colleting coats for our annual Coats for Kids program. 4 Food Drive The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will be collecting non-perishable food items for their annual Thanksgiving Basket Food Drive. Last year approximately 50 individuals and families were assisted because of your generosity. Collection Bins are located at all the entrances to the church.
