St. John the Baptist Plymouth May 14, 2017 We are pleased to announce that Archbishop Jerome E. Listecki, in consultation with the Priest Placement Board of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee, has appointed Father Phil Reifenberg as shared pastor of St. John the Baptist Parish and St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, Elkhart Lake. Fr. Phil currently serves as District Dean and Pastor of St. Dominic Parish in Sheboygan. Fr. Phil s official assignment will begin June 20, 2017 As our temporary administrator for the past year, Fr. Phil has already become quite familiar with St. John the Baptist Parish. He can be found offering Mass (especially the Tuesday morning Mass with the school children), visiting classrooms, attending pastoral council meetings, school board meetings, finance meetings, staff meetings, enjoying auctions, fish frys, retreats and so much more! As you can imagine, he has been busy! We look forward to welcoming Fr. Phil into our parish family. Please keep Father Phil and the parishes of St. John the Baptist and St. Thomas Aquinas in your prayers. Welcome to the newest Member of our Catholic Faith Family The Most Important Person on Earth is a Mother Liam Paul O Donnell The most important person on earth is a mother. She Son of Bandon and Ashley O Donnell cannot claim the honor of having built Notre Dame Cathedral. She need not. She has built something more magnificent than any cathedral a dwelling for an immortal soul, the tiny perfection of her baby s body Baptized on May 14, 2017 May Liam and his family enjoy the blessings of the sacrament and continue in God s love throughout their lives. The angels have not been blessed with such a grace. They cannot share in God s creative miracle to bring new saints to heaven. Only a human mother can. Mothers are closer to God the Creator than any other creature; God joins forces with mothers in performing this act of creation What on God s good earth is more glorious than this: to be a mother? ~ Joseph Cardinal Mindszenty Please join us for Memorial Day Mass Monday, May 29, 2017 at 9:00am St. Fridolin Chapel in Glenbeulah With Honor and Gratitude, We Remember. Fifth Sunday of Easter May 14, 2017 Dear Friends: Happy Mother s Day! Thank you, mothers, for all your love! My mom, Bernice Schreiter, was a convert to Catholicism when she married my dad and they were married for 63 years! Mom died in 2004 and I still miss her and wish I could sit and talk with her. She was a very common-sense kind of person and always had good advice and a hug. Holy God, Look with kindness on our mothers, who have shared in your creating love by the gift of her children. Glory and Praise to you, loving God, through Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the Virgin Mary, and who reigns with you in the glory of Heaven, for ever and ever. Amen -Fr. John SAVE THE DATE!
