1 An invitation from Rev. Laura, Royal Lane Children s Minister Please stop by the Children s Building Sunday, November 1 st 2015 to tour our newly remodeled Godly Play room. Godly Play is a very important part of our Children s Ministry that all who support Royal Lane children need to learn about. Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play curriculum engages what is most exciting about religious education: God inviting us into and pursuing us in the midst of Scripture and spiritual experience. Godly Play practice teaches us to listen for God and to make authentic and creative responses to God s call in our lives. Godly Play is a creative, imaginative approach to Christian formation and spiritual guidance. Godly Play has a Montessori foundation with 40+ years of research and practice. Godly Play values process, openness, discovery, community and relationships. Godly Play models the worship life, stories, symbols and rituals of our Royal Lane congregation. Godly Play nurtures our children s belief and faith through wondering and play. Join the fun! Our new room will be open before and after the Sunday School hour, 9:30-10:50. Or after worship you can meet the artist and share refreshments in the Box-Hawkins Gallery and then swing through the Children s Building to explore our many story boxes and sacred work supplies. Royal Lane Godly Play ambassadors (young and old) will be on hand to show you how it all works, answer your questions, spread their joy and enthusiasm and share the many ways you can support our Godly Play program. This week DeeDee Young and Anna Lou Brown delivered over 2000 diapers, plus food items, collected by Royal Lane for North Dallas Shared Ministries. For November, NDSM is in great need of personal hygiene items: toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, shampoo, soap, mouth wash, nail clippers, disposable razors, anything along this line that will help families with their personal needs.
