Remember our church in your will FPC Youth (IMPACT) February is a big month for our youth here at FPC! On the 8 th we are going to Fort Wayne to immerse ourselves in one of the largest worship experiences in the area, WinterJam! Multiple Christian artists, from different genres and backgrounds will be there, as well as amazing outreach programs, a great message, and fellowship. Then, on February 23 rd we are hosting our annual Up All Night Youth Conference! This event is open to all Jr./Sr. High students and our theme is Dare To Be Different (#D2BD), based on Romans 12:2. The main message of the night will be given by guest speaker Curtis Morris and will really challenge the youth to step out in their faith! Coming with Curt from Kenton, OH is an amazing worship team that is sure to appeal to the many unchurched kids we aim to have in attendance. We are expecting 100+ youth to attend, many who will hear the gospel for the first time! With this event comes an opportunity to build relationships and venture into a new area of servanthood. We need all hands and feet on board for this to be successful. Ask us how you can help! FPC Kids (KREW) Our Wednesday night KREW program is now exploring what it means to take off the old and put on the new through a karate themed series called Hi-Yah! Our goal to make the Word fun and exciting to learn for the kids on Wednesday nights continues to reach hearts. Sunday KREW is learning how God is not only a promise maker but a promise keeper! It is very refreshing to see some new families worship with us on Sunday morning! The welcoming and friendly atmosphere here at FPC continues to bring these kids to Christ, thank you for showing His love and grace! We look forward to worshipping with everyone on February 14 th for Ash Wednesday!!

Series #6 Prayer Power 14: Ash Wednesday: A new Sermon Series called Real Grace for Real Life! Real Grace Is a Real Gift #2 Grace Is a Leave of Absence. Hanging in There When It Is Hard to Do So! THE SNOW IS COMING!! (it s here actually) It is the official policy of the church that if we are at a level 2 snow emergency that all church events or worship services are cancelled. On Wednesdays if school is cancelled for snow (not fog) there is no Wednesday KREW or Impact! This should help you determine if your event or worship service is meeting during the winter months ahead. For those of you involved with the Tuesday Free Meal the policy is if there is a Level 1 posted the meal is cancelled for that evening. That way there is no confusion for our guests as to whether there is a meal on a night of bad weather. Thank You: We would like to thank the following people for help around the church lately: Those who helped take down Christmas decorations, the Nativity, and everything Christmas. 3 February 2018 Wow! It is hard to believe the season of Lent is almost upon us! It starts on Valentine s Day, February 14. During Lent this year we will be exploring what real grace looks like in real life! We talk a lot about grace in the church but what does grace look like in the midst of busy lives with lots of distractions and troubles? If grace isn t practical and real why bother? What good is it? How does real grace impact and affect how we treat others, how we help others, how we give, how we forgive, how we love? Can grace impact our sex lives? Our work lives? Our money, our family? It should but does it? I want to challenge you this Lenten Season! Instead of giving up something for Lent I want you to think of how you can extend grace in new and creative ways with family, kids, spouse, friends, co-workers, and even strangers you meet at WalMart or Chief. How can you be the hands and feet of Jesus for someone else at least one time every week during Lent? Ask yourself: Who is hurting? Who needs to vent or a listening ear? What gift can I give my spouse that they crave and need that I have been withholding? Who is in a dark, difficult place that needs some light and love sent their way? Who do you know that doesn t deserve caring or forgiveness and a second chance but you can gift them with this anyway? Who needs some loving truth spoken into their lives? Who simply needs some of your precious time this week?? Real grace in real life is transformational for those who receive it and for those who give it. Who can you gift with some grace this Lenten season?? I will be looking for you in church! Let s learn about grace so we can share some grace! Blessings and peace to you! Barry ASH WEDNESDAY & LENT ARE COMING Ash Wednesday falls on Valentines day this year, February 14! We will have a potluck at 5:30pm and eat with the Wednesday kids and then join for worship together at 6:30pm in the sanctuary. Barry will be begin his new sermon series: Real Grace for Real Life. We will have the praise team, choir, communion, and the ashes of repentance. This is a powerful worship time! You don't want to miss it!
